1962 in Kindergarten, another little boy and I got in trouble during nap time on the floor for snoring like the Three Stooges, making almost the entire class laugh. I don't remember anything I learned in in science class in high school, but still remember that day in Kindergarten. I'd do it again if I had the chance. Today, the wife and I tell each other we heard each other snore the previous night, and say "You sounded like Curly last night: "Woob woob woob woob woob." Or Shemp: "Me-me-me -me -me me me."

His granddaughter Jill was 3 when he died. I was 3 when a great aunt died. She say she remembered a lot about him, just like as young as I was I remembered a lot about Aunt, which is a blessing. I miss her a lot. It's wonderful the Stooges and their family and even in laws was so close knit. That's hard to find now. I am a Christian who believes in End Time scripture. I know the discord in so many families was prophecied and I still, things may have happened in my family, I've made mistakes too with them but I still hold family to be very important.

I loved Shemp. He was his own man and a gifted comedian. He wasn't Curly and didn't try to he. He had his own style and personality. A comedic gift to mankind. He certainly wasn't "homely." Look at pictures of him in family photos and in private without make up and out of character. He was certainly not homely, just down to earth.
@radicalross7700

True enough. While Shemp certainly looked his age as he grew older, he wasn't really homely. At worse, Shemp was just average looking when he wasn't mugging for comic effect.

I had to watch the Three Stooges' movies at least 500 times. In the late 1970s, they made a huge come back in colleges. A friend of mine, Bobby Trolice, who played football with me for the St.Peters Peacocks had a device installed in his car that when he hit his horn, a recording of Curly screaming "WHY YOUuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!! The reactions it got should have been on film. It was simply hysterical. The Three Stooges are a great American Institution of slapstick comedy.

I could not help but notice, Shemp (and the other Stooges), in their OWN PHOTOS taken of their private lives during these happy times such as their son's wedding, they look much "better" or more handsome or attractive and even more 'intelligent' than they do when "acting". I know they use "make up" but Clearly...... they "acted" with their FACES as well as every other technique they knew. It is just not all delivering "lines" and prat falls. Those guys were really good, they lived GOOD LIVES, raised good families, and they still make people laugh. What a fine video and tribute!!! I cannot imagine anyone disliking this video!!!
