I had one of these when I was ten years old. i thought that is was amazingly nice. Kits are much better now, but not just much better, amazingly better.

Just as I remember this kit when I was a kid. Just like you mentioned, I got the periscope-like view turret to be able to turn. I also remember I thought of this tank as a futuristic looking thing 🙂

This is one Airfix model I have never attempted, no idea why. Nice work rescuing the broken track. As alternative to silver try metallic blue (may need to add silver to lighten) paint that on, then when dry wash with matt black finish with SATIN varnish. And a service note of sorts; a company of these featured in John Hackett's novel "The third World War" where by they were the first clash between US and Soviet ground forces, (illustrating their proposed battlefield role). I wonder which aircraft we will be entertained with next....

I remember in your last video with the Stuart tank you were wanting to do one of these but I didn't expect to see this kit again Waw! The box art really played a big part in buying this for me as a kid then the kit was horrid 🤣 I feel like sending you my Tamyia one as I've got RFMs aswell lol just needs a frame and a bit of mesh on the front now put your tracks in boiling water to soften them up they might stretch!? I'll do this with DS rubber tracks and afv clubs if there twisted the boiling water straightens them n soften them so they might work with these old things

Nice build! With many of these plastic models its a good idea to carefully stretch the tracks a bit before putting them on.

A Sheridan was used as a BMP in 1984' s "Red Dawn." Blink and you miss it.

Well-done designer's haha love that! I do hope you know about this so called amphibious tank they tried to create from it! The top parts of the Hull sponsons were airtight and floating device thing's or were mwnt to be! It was a first attempt that never worked it's classed as the most worst design tank ever now! Don't think it went about 30mph though! The Sheelie missiles were just a complete disaster in this vehicle! Watch some history fact videos.on KZitem on it!

S Model is a much newer and better true 1/72 kit plus you get 2 in the box. Didn't the Sheridan have a reputation to jump around and lose accuracy when it fired due to its lightweight alloy nature?

Hmm, I never built this. I made the old Tamiya kit. Not good 😕

The Sheridan has rather been swept under the carpet. It was a good idea, executed terribly. The Shillelagh missile system was very poor, there was, originally, no ammo available for the main 152 mm gun, and it was also found that the tank's armour could be pierced by large calibre small arms fire, and destroyed completely by mines and RPG fire. Rushing something into production always means that these things are found out too late, sadly.

I was interested in this years ago due to it's capability to fire a missile via the gun. I think that didn't prove to be very successful.
