I just finished The Sinking City, and as a Lovecraft fan I loved it. It’s not perfect, but it accomplishes what it wanted to do. I feel like this game can do the same

sinking city is better, at least it's complete experience and a fresher storyline. this game has a LOT of empty promises from their kickstarter page , they have a very successful kickstarter campaign but some aspect left half-baked or unfulfilled. i don't care how's war affect them but after sherlock chapter one , i expect more than a downgrade sherlock experience that lacking challenge and thing to do.

I might be naive and new to gaming on this level (I'm used to pixels and what not..) I found this game engaging visually but especially intellectually - trying to find out what the game wants me to do when in the "mind map" and which clues to tag ... I really was immersed and loved it

one of my main problems with these games is budgetary/technical. London was busy. Even in the 1890's, it was bustling like now. There's never enough people and carriages going about their business, and it takes me right out of every street scene and city outdoor area. I get that it's hard to put in a ton of NPCs, especially for a small studio like Frogwares...But I really wish they would.

I wish more game developers had access the technology that Hitman games uses in regards to crowds. Because having enough npcs to population the game can literally make or break immersion depending on the setting.

So does having so many minorities in the time period, if it was set today then yes but not in the 19th century, be like having a Zulu game (yes please devs) and just chucking a few Irishmen in the tribe, it's weird looking.

It was actually more bustling back then. Streets were teeming with movement and people. It helped that people had more respect for city streets back then, but yes. Things were a lot more friendly and the bustle was at its peak from the late 1800's up into maybe the early 1930's.

If call of cthulhu and sinking city were blended together this is the result.
