Reminds me of the old time REAL country and western music. I could easily see Loretta Lynn or Tammy Wynette singing this song. Very nice.

one of the saddest songs ever ;'( but still a lovely listen - and very relatable as there are too many little boys (& girls) without a father figure :((((((

There's two guys sitting over there at Opryland and one behind the desks asks"Whatcha think ? The one on the other side says" Well I tried to call um twice this morning, but thier phones busy".Well thats when the guy behind the desks says Probably Loretta, She's the only one that can stay on the phone that long, so just keep calling, till ya get her..And that is how Sheryl is going to get on the Grand Ole Opry. As soon as Sheryl gets that recipe written down and Loretta hangs up, God Love It !

Been reading a lot of the comments here and there’s no one who has mentioned this, so I would like to mention here for those that are not aware, fellow country singer Brad Paisley co-wrote this song.

I find it ironic this song is about mascara. This is sung by a lady who is already extremely beautiful without any mascara or makeup!
