You know, I like this show, I like it for treating cross dressing as not a big deal. It's progressive in a sense it tells men wearing women's clothing can still be a great hero. Not as progressive as I would have liked but it's still a step in the right direction. It's a fun show and I would like it to have a second season.

When I was a teen in the early '80s, I went through a Rocky Horror phase. My Mom freaked out when she found my costumes and shrieked, "I don't want my SON coming home in fishnets before my DAUGHTER is old enough to!" Truth is, it never "made me gay," in fact I met my first girlfriend at Rocky Horror, and the rest is history. Parents, I kind of understand your concern but this will only make already straight kids grow up to be straight but not narrow like me. (cont)

There was this reddit post that said that Shezow was a trans allegory, and I would agree except they said that it's an allegory for male to female trans but I kinda disagree. I think it's an allegory for genderfluid trans people. As evidence by the line in this episode "don't you mean mama?" "eh, depends on what I'm wearing" because even when Guy starts feeling more comfortable dressing as a girl in later episodes, he is also _still_ comfortable dressing as a boy. In simpler terms, he's fine either way.

Cremation joke, "Shut the Front Door" joke, "Holy Ship" Joke, & drag? No wonder this show isn't in the US. Glad I discovered it though. Aside from these small gags that are foreign to a person used to US kid's television programming, this cartoon is surprisingly normal. In fact, SheZow is a pretty high quality show. Great animation, acting, and writing (from what I see in this episode). Humor is good, and the show is very interesting to watch. Also, AMAZING OPENING THEME! AMAZING! This cartoon really gets me thinking about other great shows the US audience is missing out on.

I honestly can't believe it's been ten years since I've even thought about this show. I've just rewatched it, and realised how much I actually miss it. I was really sad to find out it was cancelled, even more so to find out there was a second season in the works, but got stopped. And the main reason I found out being that millions of mothers were concerned that the show would confuse their children about gender. And I do understand that. Gender has always been one of a main focus in our society. Along with sexuality. But this show, in it's silly, comical, and childish jokes put a light spin on this. Since rewatching the show I have thought about in depth of what it can do for the LGBT community if it does make a comeback. Either through a second season with a more modern take on our beloved she-mazing super heroine. Or to start from scratch with that modern take and looking more into the aspects of gender equality, but keeping loyal to its enjoyable, funny and super She-larious humour. I think of this show did make a comeback. In my opinion, I think that shezow could support LGBT in many ways. The main for me is trans. But not only can shezow represent LGBT, but also the drag community as shezow is guys 'alter-ego' I can see people in the drag community seeing this as a drag-persona. (I for one would love to see a drag shezow!) This and gender equality. As being shezow. I believe that guy has come to respect the opposite gender more. So you can see how I believe that shezow can support a wide range of today's communities. And if theres even a small chance of this she-rific show coming back or having a reboot. I really think it would have a strong chance and captivate a wider-range of an audience and possibly even inspire people to be themselves. I recently found out there was a 'saveourshezow' campaign but was closed. I'm just really hoping for someone, anyone. To open another and I would happily sign to save a unique show just as this. I love shezow! And I hope that love still exists even 10 years later! I'm just one person, but I know there's lots of fans out there that want the show back. So please bring back that love And help ✨save our shezow!! ✨

I could tolerate it and I'm sure as hell that if I had kids they would too, everyone enjoys whatever they want. If we were in neo-Ancient Greece for example I'm quite sure this show would be tolerated. Because the ancient greeks were probably one of the most sexually secure civilizations.

Richard Surraco I think that he is right. He told you to read it because of the content of it. The bible is super authoritarian actually. Most religions if not all the religions that come from the Middle East are like that for a reason. They're very authoritarian. Most of their petty "morality" directly restricts freedom.

(popsicle looks at hand, looks at Shezow's) "Hmmp mine is bigger" X'D that innuendo OMFG!? is this for real? the show was losing me for a second there, but that little slip made it worth it!

It's the OUTFIT, 'JD'. With SheZow's powers, Guy also inherited her APPEARANCE. He's still a boy....but must adjust to fighting the forces of evil dressed as a FEMALE superhero (that's why he speaks in a falsetto voice as SheZow, to complete the masquerade).

BAAAHHH NOOOO!!!!! Fuck, I knew it! As soon as I heard of this show's existence, I put a drop of faith back in humanity and awaited an awesome Bowie/Roxy-ish glamtastic theme song. It was for naught. Lesson learned: If there is a golden opportunity, mainstream entertainment will pass it up.

Agree with the above. Thank you Barry for all the insider information you've posted. I guess the final question for all Super She-Fans would be, "What about season twoooooo?" (Sorry for asking before season 1 is even finished ;)
