Here we go again, another week passes and I managed to review another car. This time it's a Shibata GRK, a newbie driver, and newbie car, this is in direct competition with buying an RTR car. So, this seems like a good focus. Should you buy RTR? Or buy second hand on marketplace?
Things we consider smart first time buyer parts?
1. Toro ESC, industry standard, worth the extra, don't need to replace in a rush.
2. Rocket Surpass motor from Ali Express, £50 motor with the same features/feel as a D10/Accuvance in our mind, again huge saving and works so well for a cheap motor. www.aliexpress...
3. Onisiki basic Gyro, loads of Gyros out there, but it's still so good for the money and happily does the job for a new driver
4. Push yourself and find a Sanwa MTS or MT-5 second hand for the same price as an Mx6 brand new.
5. Chassis, loads of choice here, Yd2 still v good and loads or parts. Shibata GRK as you see here. D5s, also still good and bargains about now, although I'd still avoid a D5MR. Finally ReveD RDX - seems to be the buzz chassis, drive great out of the box.
