Hello Rion! So strange the Sakura shinkansen didnt stop at Hiroshima, i thought ALL shinkansen stopped at Hiroshima LOL ~ Well, technically, Sakura is Sanyo/ Kyushu shinkansen while Nozomi is Tokaido/ Sanyo shinkansen, so there is some difference ~ The blue shinkansen was the 500 series Kodama shinkansen! It used to be the Nozomi shinkansen that ran at world's fastest speed at 300 km/h back in 1997. It's also my fav shinkansen, and the Hello Kitty is the V2 version of this train! :) Love your videos! Say.... No.... GGGAAOOOO!!

It is really astonishing that you could enjoy the breakfasr feast at the Hiroshima hotel in spite of your stomack ake. The castle is really fine rebuilt obviously very close to the original outside including the impressive stone walls. But inside it is closer to the modern museum dealing with Hiroshima history and Japanese tradition in general. Nice to watch indeed. The surrounding also so peaceful - what a contrast to overcrowded places in Osaka or Kyoto. The mascot, white cat with the castle hat, is really cute and meaningful. So many Shinkansen versions one more attractive than another. The Fukuoka Basic hotel is of the unique architecture, very interesting. The udon meal looks yummy including shrimp version of katsedon, too, obviouslly light enough for your weak stomack. Fukuoka sunset from the large window also beautiful. This trip serial continues in great Rion style. No doubt, the following adventures will be interesting, as well. GAAOO!

thank you for this video. During my summer July holidays in Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka, I should have made time for Hiroshima but... fact was I didn't have much time because the places I was visiting was not even enough time to do so. hahaha... Anyways it is good I should have put some time away for other places instead of traveling back to the same cities for new discoveries (well what do we say, especially it was some 21 years later... of course there are definitely more things to find out for me. Anyways speaking about your tummy ache with raw foods, I do get that sometimes. I thought it would be okay when I was in Japan this summer because Japan has fresher and and treated raw food better/more professionally. At a restaurant I had given advance notice that I do not take beef, so the restaurant did plan everything to my liking however I forgot about having raw foods because well, I was in Japan! Anyways it was no that much because it was a few courses of lunch and mixed of fusion and Japanese style. But after a few hours later while I was shopping, I really had to find and make my way for ladies restroom. Before that, I had bad tummy ache while still in a long tax-refund queue before reaching the cashiers. I was carrying a basket of things and was deciding very hard whether to give up my spot for restroom. You can imagine what "agony" and prayers I had been going through... thankfully all was well. I was able to get to the tax-refund cashier (a German speaking Japanese!) and did my payment and quickly went for a restroom. I carry medication as precaution to take before the day if I am traveling out full day or going to have some unknown or raw foods, that medicine helps to prevent upset tummy, diarrhea or caused by unclean foods or waters. I had forgotten to take one that day. It is called "dhamotil" and is a over the counter drug. You may wish to check out with your pharmacist or doctor if you are able to have it. Sorry for the long comment here. I really enjoy your videos with places and food recommendations. Keep it up Rion and let's all keep on walking !

You might just have a hard time digesting undercooked meat. I don’t know if you can find digestive enzymes easily in Japan. There’s different types for what you need help digesting. Lipase for digesting fats, amylase for carbohydrates, and protease for protein (meats). Look for something that says “papaya enzyme” that would be targeting proteins, but often times it contains all types of enzymes together to help with digestion. It’s either a capsule pill or chewable tablet that you take after the meal.

As per Ayurveda (Ancient Indian Medicinal Science) you should not eat HOT & COLD DRINK (coffee and juice) in one meal. That also might be the reason you had stomach ache. According to Ayurveda desserts should be EATEN FIRST and NOT LAST. Even Appetiser should be eaten AFTER the dessert as per ayurveda. You can try for some time and see how it feels in your stomach.
