To be fair Mizuto said some nasty personal shit to Aoki before the fight. Mizuto also said that aoki could not make him tap, so that is probably the reason why he didn't do so in the fight. Aoki could've broken his arm from the get go, but he was giving Mizuto a chance to tap (verbally) so you can't really blame Aoki for breaking his arm. Honestly, unless the judge stops you, the vast majority of MMA fighters would keep going. There's plenty of examples where fighters let go of holds thinking their opponent tapped only to lose because of that decision. Was it unsportsmanlike for Aoki to flip him off and taunt him afterwards? Definitely. But the sport is how it is. Taunts happen all the time in MMA, even in the UFC which has some of the strictest rules and regulations. It's not basketball.....can't really give the guy a technical foul for taunting. We're watching MMA here, a sport were two individuals beat the shit out of each other. It's understandable.

It's sorta tradition too refer too it as pro wrestling. It's not an insult too real wrestling, there have been plenty of pro wrestlers in the past that were real wrestlers, like Kurt Angle.

China has a huge percentage of the worlds population yet they have like, no MMA gyms. So I don't see how your analogy works here. There simply just isn't many physically large Asian fighters in the first place, let alone gyms in their country. In Pride, there were many Asian contenders in the lighter weights.

Look closely, he couldn’t have tapped out if he wanted to. His other hand was being held down.

@redblazerpea what do you mean you can't speculate? You know Aoki would get killed by BJ. It's the truth, Penn would kill Aoki, and then drink his blood. Don't hate.

Just because his friend lost and Aoki was pissed off is no cause for poor sportsmanship. Karma is a bitch and will come back to bite him in the ass in the end.

@herrzyklon Doesn't matter what the reason was, fights over. You broke the guys arm, beat him soundly and shut his mouth. That's enough unless you're a punk.

that is so discusting! Aoki might be good (not as good as Penn) but what he did is far away from the path of real fighter.

I heard Shinya Aoki lost his position in the Paraestra Tokyo head-school after this fight. He really lost sight of a martial artist's principles.

Stop saying shit about Aoki lol. Satoru is his friend and Mizuto made a fool of him. Just how things are.

All I want to know is, how much did he get paid? This "sport" doesn't pay enough for the punishment.
