Short video about the removal of the SS Portugal from 7m depths using WM Plant Hire's 23.5m long reach excavator. This coal hulk built in 1899 sunk near the navigation channel in Stornoway Harbour in 1953. Its removal was required as part of the deepening of the harbour to allow for its use by larger ships.
