Shipwrights redux, raiders or architects for you guys? I'm very much drawn to all three, but have the money for one. And our tastes seem to be rather alike, so I'm curious what would've been your decision.

I like Raiders more than Architects, which felt like it was doing a bit too much for its weight.

As an owner of all the Garphill games, and fan of them, I'd go Architects. Whichever you get, between Raiders or Architects, get the two expansions, they are worth it.

I recommend Raiders of Scythia, although it is quite a bit heavier than Shipwrights.

This sounds very very similar to It's A Wonderful World, even more similar than 7Wonders imho. Except for being a fleet-building-themed and more functions/effects on the cards,

I tried searching but wasn't able to find an answer to my question: what's the difference between Shipwrights of The North Sea and Shipwrights of The North Sea Redux? Thank you!
@BoardGameHangover
Жыл бұрын
Hey! The original game was the first game this company released so they felt like it needed a redo and so they changed a lot of things and improved them and now you have the Redux version.

@@baska- Hello! Apart for the theme these are completely different games. Original Shipwrights are heavily player versus player fight at least by GarpHill games standards. In Redux players interaction are nearly nill.

7 wonders of the North Sea I know it’s against the bgg consensus but it seems harder than raiders of the North Sea, looking at icons on many cards all the time.

What's better shipwrights of the north sea or shipwrights of the north sea redux??

For sure the Redux version. As the original was the first game from this company and they have completely changed and improved it :)

I love the look of the art but after watching some playthroughs it looks...meh, that said if a friend bought it I'd give it a go and I may well like it.
@BoardGameHangover

It won't wow you from the playthroughs that's for sure. There's nothing too fancy, it all comes down to the card choices and the thrill of making those tough decisions. That's about it
