Cric is now boring with players all the time hitting sixes out of the park against lame bowling. Fast bowling is an art and talent. miss those old days when you had to be cautious against pacers.Cricket has become one sided.

+since 92 Exactly, that's the reason i underrate today's batsmen as compared to retired legends like Ganguly, Ponting, Sachin, Saeed Anwar etc.. These guys had to test their balls against insane speedos and talents like McGrath, Lee, Akhtar, Donald, Waqar etc... If we just try to think for a second wherein ABd, Kohli, Dhoni, Root, Roy, Plessis, Smith, Miller or Finch get an opportunity to face them , I don't think even a single batsman from this era, except Virat Kohli and Joe Root, would stand a chance. Bowling has been literally lame since 2004... Steyn, Starc, Johnson,Bond, Amir, Anderson are not even half talented of what previous speedstars were....
@happyguy650

Kavil Patel exactly. Just saw kohli and devilliers punish lame bowlers of sunrisers the other night and destroy them. Now i ask everyone all those cheering is this this one sided lame cricket they want to enjoy. Bowlers bowling 'lullu' and baby bowls to batsmen. IPL somehow encourages this kind of shenanigan to appeal to mindless fans.
@happyguy650
8 жыл бұрын
Kavil Patel its sad none of the 3 will ever be able to to hit that 150 mark consistently. All i ask is one bowler from india .....just one who makes batsmen curse the day they decided to hold a bat.and one who makes the batsmen shit his pants. Is it too much to ask in a country of 120cr people who are batshit crazy about cricket. About Kohli he is the best. Sachin was a great star but kohli is the biggest star, the sun around which other stars revolve. Hes too hot and everones depend on him. Saala sabke record todega fir kya Sachin kya lara... .
@happyguy650

Kavil Patel good review , especially of of rohit sharma. The selectors feel that they owe a great debt to this guy coz he has this supposed talent which he is ashamed to display on field _first 104 matches only 2 100's_ and are giving him chances after chances. He only performs in IPL (last night MI beat KKR despite kkr makig 184 runs). I think saala paisa khila ke baita hai. Raina iss like sasta diwali ka pataka, never know it will go boom boom or just a big fuuuuusss. Agree agression is a part of a fast bowler but shree is still medium pace and sometimes will be an ass on the field.Its like all barks and no bite. Thats why bhajji slapped him like a bitch. Sorry its my passion for cricket which made me pour out these sentences coz of the descent hte game is going thru.
@kavilpatel7671

+since 92 Rohit Sharma is an opener coz he has flexibility like no one else.So he can adapt to unknown conditions better and faster than anyone else.This is a great quality of an opener. You would have spotted him playing variety of shots with utmost ease. Even Kohli or Dhoni arent as flexible as Rohit. If you look carefully, all other batsmen have obvious strengths and weaknesses in specific bowling areas. But Rohit has balanced Armwork, footwork, serene mind and good shot selection. But Rohit has no sense of responsibility,lack of focus, no will or challenging spirit that an opener should possess. He suicides under pressure situations. If only he could improvise his armwork, he can play big shots more than what he does right now. Now Look at this social media chutyas claiming that Gambhir would have been a better opener than Dhawan. Those guys dont know difference between IPL and ODIs, Foreign pitches and Indian pitches, Pressure while playing for Indian team and pressure while playing for franchise. If India eliminated any fear of fast bowlers it was due to Kohli, Yuvi, Dhoni and Dhawan. Gambhir clearly exposes his uneasiness while facing fast bowler.He cant play short balls. Gauti is weak in many bowling areas and his hitting power is too damn low than Dhawan. Gauti used to lose confidence while facing pace bowling. His limbwork is too conservative which makes him bad quality opener thus decreasing his adaptability to foreign pitches or unexpected deliveries. DHAWAN IS MOST GRACEFUL AND ELEGANT PLAYER AFTER GANGULY. Well to be precise he is Mr 360 among left handed guys. Well i already mentioned his weaknesses in previous post. Its not about statistics, its about body language. Yup, I agree with you about Shreesanth. But i was just focusing on the importance of aggression that a fast bowler should possess. I think Shreesanth is the only bowler, after Zaheer Khan, whose pace and skillset improvised with time. They were patient at the start of their career but became revengeful and aggressive at the end. Shreesanth used to bowl 135kmph when he started playing and ended up delivering 149kmph with quality swings at end of his career.... Well I am not concentrating on performance of bowler statistically but his aggression, pace, skillset and variation, Which is a must if you want to deliver 150+...

+MrFalcon2001 While I respect Jawagal Srinath who I immensly admire they are are vastly different. While Srinath used to trouble the batsmen with his old school fast bowling skills such as crisp line and length bowling and swinging the ball Akhtar had that killer attitude in him which our Indian bowlers could never quite develop. He literally used to terrorize the batsman with his extreme pace and bounce. As if that was not enough he had a terrific yorker that would literally destroy you. When it comes to fast bowling, IMO it always comes down to what kind of attitude you have, Akhtar had that x-factor in him just like many other fast bowling legends. Always in your face!

COMPLETELY WRONG TITLE. Shoaib's greatest over was when he clean bowled two of Test cricket's four highest run scorers in history like sitting ducks in one over, humiliating an entire nation that adores its batting doyens, at Kolkata in 1997. Most fast bowlers could only dream of that. I am an Indian, but I was in awe of this man's speed on that day and admired his skill as did everyone present. That is the true hallmark of greatness, when your opponents show you their appreciation.

When fast bowling was really fast bowling. Akhtar, Lee, Tait, and before them The Australian duo, the long line of West Indian quickies-others, too. The ones who stand out in memory are Thomson and Holding, especially Holding, who could generate enormous pace with an easy, loose-limbed action, but all are worthy of recognition, and Akhtar was perhaps the first to hit a hundred miles an hour, confirmed

Great bowler. Was not handled properly by his captains and board. Had he been in India during saurav's era he would have been protected with reasonable workload and given freedom to express himself. If he goes overboard saurav always knew to tame wild horses.

Love you Shoaib. Mishandled and was victim of jealousy otherwise he would have achieved 3times more wickets than what the record shows
