This compilation has given me a whole new level of respect for cabin crew. I mean, it's always been obvious to me that they work their asses off for long shifts and deal with some truly awful BS from some truly obnoxious passengers, but I never knew most of the stuff in these clips. Thanks so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience, hun! 💖

People who are good with creating connections usually not good in engaging, whereas people who always could engage with friends are usually not good with creating new connections. I'm an everyone's friend wherever I go, but I am a friend to none. I easily keep people in conversations and good moments for that certain hours or period we're communicating but I'm not good in keeping any of them as friends that stays through time, distance and spaces. Companions, colleagues, roommate or whatever they called it, always leave me so soon or turn their back to me for no reason no matter how good I've been to them without error, either that or I just couldn't stand being close to people because their ugly sides start to show its color by offending and hurting me (I'm this very nice type so people easily mistaken me as something to bully). So this kind of job rotation is not bad at all for me seeing different colleagues everyday, the best day is always the first day falling in love when it comes to a partner and the first day knowing each other when it comes to friendship. With loneliness and estranged comes stronger needs for companionship so people could be less prejudice to others and just focused to give and take each others company to be merrier.. compared to a workplace or classes where you see same faces everyday, people would go comfortable with you that they could hurt you, while you still end up barely make a friend who stays, with more people projecting toxicity on you especially in an environment filled with female, with the best majority colleagues you could have are just the so-so who's nice and all but still nothing like a friend engaged to you.

So true. Cabin crew members are considered emergency personnel workers and flights cannot take off without the appropriate number of cabin crew members on board by law. I had the best times on layovers with different crew members though. We were all in it together. We all had bitchy passengers, drunk & disorderly passengers, bratty children, bratty parents (which were worse), prisoner transports, medical emergencies, obnoxious pets, etc. Ever think you’d need to take down a high-jacker with hot coffee and a pop can? That was part of our security training post 9/11. & I learned to take catnaps in between the different legs of my trips whenever I could get a chance. Flying on call was not always the best but I almost always had work so that was good.

I'm a former flight attendant from a domestic flights airline in Mexico and many things are different, of course, but I love to see that the most important (like trainning and general life style) are the same... I did have to clean coffee pots tho lol and we didn't have body bogs onboard, most my flights were 30-45 min long so, not really needed. Thanks God we didnt have full months on-hold, it is a nightmare! And the whole scheduling is just sooo much better the way Emirates does it, my airline was way smaller (maybe 250 stw, about 600 pilots) and I never got a destination I requested, most of my days off were also non granted and also didn't repeat crews too often, in almost 4 years there were people I met on-hold and never flew with lol

I was a US Navy transportation safety specialist (TSS) aka flight attendant when I was in the reseves for a minute. My day/corporate job required a lot of flying as a passenger. Our platform was a C9-B, similar to a DC-9 that you could reconfigure for passengers, cargo, or both. You have to have a military ID to fly "milair" thus none of the shenanigans you see when folks act a fool in the commercial sector. Our money is called per diem which is based on location too.
@balticbabe1
8 ай бұрын
Ours at my airline was a per diem too, which was included in your paycheck. The previous airline called it an allowance, which was cash in an envelope that you would receive at the destination hotel. That was a better system because it was cash in hand and not taxable

I’d always thought about being a flight attendant, but never pursued the career because I didn’t think it’d be possible for me or the “right path” I was meant to go down because I’d planned on going to college and working in a science field. I never finished my degree due to life happening and finances. I bounced from job to job, hating every one and feeling lost and sad thinking I might never find a place I’d want to retire from. I came across your videos a few years ago when you started and the idea of being a flight attendant slowly started to come back into the forefront of my mind. After some more major life events happened earlier this year, I realized that was the perfect time to finally take the leap. I am currently a regional FA and just got my CJO to begin training with the best airline in the country (in my humble opinion 😂), and I couldn’t be more excited! I have you to thank for giving me that nudge I needed for so long. I think I’ve finally found my career ❤ Cheers and Merry Christmas!

Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be an airline stewardess but when I grew up I only got to 5’3” and back then you had to be at least 5’7”. The first time I flew on a plane it was so painful. Both of my ears felt like I had swimmers ear. Very painful. Maybe that’s why God only made me 5’3”.

I seriously needed this. Made me laugh multiple times. I also have a question for you. Do you ever regret going for this position? I've flown a couple of times and it seems like there's either a crazy person problem or a entitled person problem.

“and the worst of them all, cosmic radiation” me: studied 4 years, graduates, then studied again for the board exam and then pass and then get so excited to finally be a degree holder and license holder to be in a job where im exposed to radiation from xray and ct scan 8-16 hrs a day, at times (very rarely) 24 hours , 6 days a week. ngl sounds silly now

I admire how clearly and honestly u provide information in helping out the other crew members and passengers. As a flight attendant what should i answer a guy who wanna do friendship with me onboard while i was doing my duty.

With the Airline I use to work for, our international destination was pretty limited and only used 1 type of aircraft. It wasn't uncommon for the international crew working together somewhere along the line with our rosters.

I can truly empathize with you. I’ve been a nurse for 40 years and most of the things you mention has applied to me. However, we get none of the perks you get as a cabin crew. I think you’re such a cutie with a terrific sense of humor.

When I started to work for an airline loading bags and cargo we used to ship bodies all the time, especially for the Military. Some were in metal cantainers, some were on a wooden board covered with cardboard and strapped to the board.

hi jeenie! im only 15, but after watching a lot of videos and doing a bit of research, i’ve been wanting to work for an airline as part of cabin crew. do you have any tips on how to pursue this later on in life, or other advice in general?
@LeiLeiLancaster

Customer service experience and problem solving skills! That’s the main thing. You need to show in the interview that you can deal with issues quickly and think on your feet. The airline I work for has a motto for its FA’s “Assess, adapt, act”.

If you’re wondering why you need to know English, it’s because it’s the universal language of flight. Most jobs and most licenses in the flight industry require you to know English.

Lady, you are hilarious! And those are interesting tidbits of info. I once worked a 20hr shift at an ER vet, but by hour 20 I was toasty. After reading the chart three times, I was like "sorry guys, was going to run a 24 hour shift to help out, but I need to go away before I screw something up." (That was either one of the hurricanes or snowstorms which meant some staff were unable to make it in, so I had stayed past my shift to contribute to patient care.) When I was a spring chicken, I probably could have handled it, but now? Ha! My brain goes on strike.
