So Hyang has support, resonance, and incredible projection in her upper register; more so than any other singer in the world and that’s pretty much an undeniable fact. Even if you think she sounds shrill, at least she can actually hit the notes to begin with, unlike almost every other singer to exist.

Dimash didn't use whistle. He used reverse phonation, a different technique to reach high notes. Same with what Alex did. People should know already that Tori's strongest register is her low! The girl can support down to Eb3/E3! She's amazing💕 Taylor is barely upperbelts tbh. Bcuz upperbelts starts at E5 & above. Well yeah she's included I guess. Jona's operatic HV is so pretty wtf😍😍

Tori has always had a solid and beautiful lower register. Dimash is supernatural but he cannot whistle. True whistle register, like Mariah's, resonates in the body; specifically, in the head and is fully connected to the other registers. It is always the loudest register and cannot be soft unless you have mastered it like Mariah and Minnie, and sing it in the lower parts of the 6th octave. B6 - F7 is really loud. What Dimash did was squeezed his vocal folds while sucking air in (Reverse Phonation). What Alex did was force air out while keeping the vocal folds together - disconnected. It's what most people do nowadays , thinking it is true whistle register. I can do that too but I definitely cannot sing in true whistle register like Mariah. That's how Demi has always run but it's still just okay-ish. I love her... And nice video. I just wanted to point a few of those things out.
@user-mb3wo3sd5m

@jjsingsAlot
6 жыл бұрын
Lmao Ik right if he knows mariah how has he not seen her singing vanish where she pauses for like (a split sec lighting fast) to transition into whistle. The register is disconnected otherwise it would be possible to support it which you can't
@prmike22
6 жыл бұрын
Ummm idk where you got you’re information from but the whistle register is disconnected. Mariah’s was disconnected as well. She was able to do them because of the nodules that she was born with, she just learned to control the pitch on them. Also whistles are not the loudest register and in fact shouldn’t be sung with force. No one should really be doing them unless you’re a trained opera singer who uses the super head voice register. Mariah used to push them out throughout her whole career as well as repeatedly belting and it took a toll on her voice!
@EbieApple
6 жыл бұрын
Michael Thomas Thanks. You're correct. Whistle notes should not be forced and isn't always the loudest a voice can be. I believe people think the whistle register is not connected to the rest of the registers because of all the people who supposedly sing in that register and aren't connected. It always has a visible break and can't connect to the other registers. Don't get angry with me, I am merely sharing my opinion but... Basically, the natural, loud and piercing sound children make when they play or get scared. That is a natural part of the voice and from my experience of when I used to sing in the whistle register, the sound resonates in the head just like head voice does. I hadn't sung for years and lost most of my abilities. The squeezing, disconnected sounds (as displayed by Dimash and Alex in the upper 6th octave) I produce now, for fun, is not true whistle register. Again, my thoughts and opinions and what I've learnt from personal experience and years of study (not official studies). Someone needs to make a video of the singers with true, connected whistles wherein you can hear how it sounds and is produced and how they can even glide from low chest notes, seamlessly, into upper chest notes, head voice and whistle notes, remaining fully connected - no breaks. That's impossible with falsetto and reverse phonation. Please, again, my standpoint. I don't pretend to be an expert and vocal professional like some other KZitemrs. Though, as a lamb, I can assure you that Mariah's voice has not deteriorated at all and she never forces. Her off days are due to a hectic schedule that does not accommodate enough vocal rest. Her fragile, yet powerful, voice is due to vocal nodules she's had all her life. She's improved rather than lost her vocal ability. Thanks. :)
@slenderman3510
6 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to say this but your comment is full of misconceptions. The whistle register does NOT resonate. It's a disconnected part of human's voice, just like falsetto. The mechanism which creates the whistle register is totally different from other registers of human's voice. In the whistle register, our vocal folds are stretched to their limits, leaving only a minute space for air to come out, eventually creating the high-pitched sound being identical to that of a whistle. Hence, given the name "whistle register". As a result of being produced in the throat with no resonance chamber, the whistle register does NOT have resonance or power to its sound. You can easily tell how singers' head voice resonate piercingly and powerfully with weight whereas the whistle register bears a light and thin quality, together with extreme brightness, comparable to the sound of a whistle

piece of TRASH SCREAMER! Filipino Just i can SMELL jealousy here😋 don't bother my comment if you feel intimidated . your idol cannot HEAD VOICE up till Eb7...they can only use whistle to hit Eb7.....more challenging to hit Eb7 with pure headvoice rather than whistle....same as hard to hit high note using chest voice rather than falsetto/headvoice....but sohyang can do both ....😋😋😋😋😋 ur idol cannot....keep dream on🤗🤗🤗🤗

This video is literally *AMAZING!* ✨ Most of them really surprised me! P.S. Did Miley hit that D2 in Vocal Fry or Modal voice; I'm a guy and I can't go that low in modal voice 😥

Lordu I'm essentially a modal Countertenor and the lowest I've been able to go is an F2; and that's when it's early in the morning 😥

Lordu E6 in mixed voice 😱😱😱 You should post some covers and captivate the world! I think Modal Voice is the term but I'm not entirely sure; what I mean by that is, my voice didn't entirely break so it sits quite high naturally (to the point that when I speak, people mistaken me for a woman). I used to wish it was deeper but I've learned to mostly accept it (it would still be nice though). True, being a Countertenor mainly has to do with the ability to sing Arias/musical pieces that are meant for female voices in full voice/modal voice without falsetto. I can sing more in the Mezzo Range but it seems like my vocal fach is full lyric tenor (but my voice is more on the bright side). How about you?

Lordu are you sure your lowest is a d-c2? It’s kind of impressing as i recognize myself as a baritone (maybe a tenor with limited range) and can achieve only till a2 and then go with vocal fry. And is strange that you changed your tone, i mean i did to ‘cause my voice was light and i wanted to sound “soulful” but i only made my voice heavier without changing my range. I always sing out of my range and still the only way to achieve the 5th octave is to sing “airer”.
