I bought myself a jig saw, a staple gun, a chop saw, and a sander! I watch you everytime you work with wood for sure. But I still struggle. Practice, practice. I have a ton of wood, and even more ideas. Covid left me with terrible short term memory loss. I forget how to use them every time, but I just get out the directions and keep on trucking! I must share something with you. You have brought me to tears on a number of occasions when you created very sentimental family oriented diys . (The fish plaque in memory of your cousin and the diy with the handwriting of a relative). Well I made one too. I lost my firstborn son to Leukemia many years ago when he was 7. Before he passed away he went to a special camp for children with Cancer. There he won raffle tickets with which he was to pick a prize for himself. Instead he chose a necklace to bring home for me! It has been in my jewelry box for 30 years. You inspired me to make something nice to have sitting out so I and others could see it all of the time. I took a shadow box that I had, hung the necklace inside, pasted a photo of the two of us from the time he was ill and printed the words FOR MOM and the year. It’s really nice. If I brought you to tears, we are even!

Love your videos so much...like sitting with a friend. I will never do any of the DIY's because I am not that good at that stuff but love seeing your finished projects. You are so talented and we all admire you! As a single mom with a son with special challenges who will be with me for a long duration I am looking to move into in a space that helps him feel like he is living independent without being full on independent if makes sense. I am slowly trying to declutter the past 20 plus years of stuff in case the right place shows up in our life. Watching you renovate for someone may help the rest of us in case that is a new journey one day for many of us. Keep up the good work!

Love your spirit - I get so emotional watching your videos. From happiness at your creativity and seeing it all come together and giggling along with you and your humour, to feeling quite choked at your closing "You are more powerful than you know". It sound silly but it means so much to hear that and even though I know its more for the power tools side of things, it can also be understood from a 'pick me up' place and its so lovely to hear. I love all of your projects! I also love that you are helping people, especially with your big dream. Too bad there's nothing like that here in Wisconsin. I live with my dad & take care if him. Last year we found out he has dementia. We all thought he had a few years before he would have to move to the nursing home, but it has progressed very quickly, and we've decided that he will be moving in next month. Two of my daughters fell upon hard times, and had no place to stay. I invited them here, so that I had help cleaning and getting everything ready for the move, as well as making the house & the property presentable for selling. We have been working hard on getting everything done, but they still have no jobs (they have been applying nearly everywhere), so we will have very little money for moving ourselves out. We all want to live together, me, my daughters, my daughter's kids, and their boyfriends. We've been looking, but either nothing is available, or it's way out of our price range. We still have till the end of September, but it's going to be a miracle if we find a place and can afford to move in. I just hope you will be able to help someone in a similar situation. I think it's great what you're doing, and YOU are more powerful than you know!

I loved your announcement. As for helping a family in need, you have so many options. You could either go it on your own or pair with one of the many and various non-profit organizations that help people. It could be something as simply as renovating a bathroom or kitchen for an elderly or disabled individual making it more accessible and functional for them. You can find a project then go to one of the big box hardware stores (Home Depot, Lowes, Menards ir Ace) and ask for help with the supplies and possibly manpower. Most work within their local store community areas. Sounds like an extremely worthy wish. Loved your designs today. I never thought about using one cutting board to make another one in a different design. Loved the fall pillow. Since I have limited storage space, I most likely would have done an "envelope" style so that I could change the cover seasonally. The pumpkin pillow was genius. Never thought about doing one that way. Thanks for the inspiration.

I loved the Fall pillow and I can't wait to try that! Sometimes the most simplistic ideas turn out to be the most beautiful! I think your dream of renovating a home for someone in need is heroic! There are so many directions you could take. Senior citizens are often the most in need and many have very little income. They are also affected by medical conditions that limit their income even further. Also, wounded Veterans are another group that need special accommodations and have very limited finances. Just a couple of suggestions to consider.

I just love the colors of the pumpkins and flowers.💜 So those were my favorite but the pumpkin cutting board was a close second! When I grow up, I'm gonna go to an Ikea. Ha! 😉 There's none anywhere near me. Sad day. 😔 Anyway, I enjoy sewing! I'm self-taught and have much to learn but can do simple to medium hard tasks. I'd love to learn more sewing from you! Just sayin’. 😉 Thank you for all you do, NataLee! God has given you a special gift and I'm so happy that you're utilizing it! I'm so excited for the next journey God has for you! Anyone who receives your assistance will be blessed!! Hopefully, you'll make your way here to Texas someday. 😉 I’m really unsure how you would choose who to ultimately do the whole house for. I mean, we all have good reasons as to why we'd need you. If you saw my house, you'd understand lol. 😆 I know many of the KZitem channels use the comment picker to pick randomly. That may be of use. Anyway, thank you again for sharing the amazing gift God has blessed you with! And congratulations on this new thrilling journey!! I'll be watching and praying! 🫶🏻 Forgot to mention that I too am ready for fall!! 🙋♀️ I'm over these scorching temperatures!! 🥵

LOVE the design 911 Idea! Another thing would be basic instructions on how to use power tools. I just go a hand-me-down jig saw from my uncle after he upgraded. We live in different states, and I have no idea how to begin! I know it sounds basic, but once I get comfortable, I'll off and running. You could do an episode on each tool and do a one or two projects using that tool going slowly on how to use the tool. I also tried to use the circular saw my dad got my "husband" and that was a disaster! I am missing something. Haha! That would emPOWER us so much!!!

The first DIY channel I’ve ever joined was yours. I keep coming back to check out what’s new. Always fun and creative. Plus Paco was my sweet cockapoo. He died at 11. Too bad Dollee wasn’t around then! You are an inspiration to lots of DIyers. Keep using them power tools! Girl Power ❤️ 💪👵🏻

Love the pumpkin pillow! Sparked all kinds of creativity. But I love all your content and your fabulous energy! I also learned to sew at 7-8 yrs. old. I made my Barbie clothes from bits of lace and silk and velvet from the costume dept. scrap bin (mom was a stage actor) Ahhh thanks for the memory activation. ☺️

Hi! Huge Fan here! I worked in a decorators “workroom” and we used fusible hem tape to secure the raw hem edges at the pillow opening used for stuffing. Then we used Velcro to hold the stuffing hole closed. This allowed for a removable pillow cover. Easy peasy. They make some incredibly sticky self stick Velcro these days!

I totally agree with you that sewing is becoming a lost art. I was10 when I started sewing. I feel that the cost of patterns and fabric are some of the things that have an affect on it. It is so great to be able to sew. I have always loved it.

My first though was if I were going to start helping like with house renos and rescues, I'd volunteer for a project or two with Habitat for Humanity. They've got a very established process and while you might not go as formal or do exactly what they are doing it would be a great place to get ideas. Learn how they select home partners, criteria for selecting homes for reno and how they approach the details of each project financially, logistically (do they buy supplies sequentially or all at once, if the latter how do they store what they have until they need it, etc.). Love your idea and your heart for this new endeavor!!!

Love all the DIYs and I’m so excited for your new series! I will be sending you pictures of my 2 story condo that has a waterfront view with an upper deck and lower patio. It was built in the 70s and hasn’t had much updating. My plan is to update, it top to bottom, room by room. It has so much potential to be stunning, but I need a reno buddy that can visualize design and help me put it together! I love power tools and will be investing in more to accomplish this project. You could take this place and together, tackle it over time. I’m in MS, but we could do it virtually I feel sure. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to work with you, you’re so amazing, thoughtful and give off the best energy and positivity!
