Such good hacks! Those vases were so pretty. And, I don't have a family heirloom cake stand, but I can find them when thrifting, so I'm going to hunt for some to do that tiered tray look. Now, Natalie, you are more powerful than you think. Why don't you design and make your own entry table. You can do it! Go for it, girl!!

I just came across your channel tonight and I am so excited I found you. I am planning on retiring at the end of the year, but was scared that I would not know what to do with myself. Now I am excited with all of your ideas. I am now looking forward to retiring instead of worrying that I was going to become idle and depressed. I can't thank you enough for giving me this new lease on life of happy retirement instead of turning into a vegetable. I will have to keep following your lessons as I don't know what a lot of things you use are, plus I don't have tools or a yard to go out into to spray paint. So I have a lot to figure out. But know I feel I can still make things as gifts for my children and grandchildren after losing two-thirds of my income after going on social security. Thank you again for giving me hope. This probably sounds corny, but this is a scary time in my life as I live alone and don't get the good mental stimulation of a partner to converse with. God Bless You.

As always, NataLee, your projects are top notch! I especially love the glass etching; so beautiful! I agree with you, sewing is a great skill to have. When I see people hot gluing fabric together, I always think sewing it would take half the time and the seam is more reliable, and even. That’s just my opinion, but I’ve been sewing since I was very young.

I’m only 8 minutes in and I gotta say I love that you share some good “fails” along the way. I think it helps the rest of realize that we are not total morons in the crafting department when we see you guys have mess ups too. Often times creators will cut out all the fail segments and show them only on practically perfect pristine outcomes which we know isn’t realistic but it sure helps remind us when you share these.

On the vase, you can not use borosilicate glass. Ikea sells that kind of glass and it does not etch with Armour etch. Just saw a video by Jennifer Maker advising of that. Good idea using the spray frost. Turned out beautiful. Took a lemon and made lemonade.

Tip: I’ve never been satisfied with the DT contact paper, I prefer the Cricut brand transfer tape. Give it a try, now with the details you’re working with, I would use one that I used once or twice (yes, you can use Cricut transfers tape over and over again-as long as you don’t drop it adhesive side down on carpeting or floors with a sheddy fur baby in the house). I’ve hadn’t had any problems with the issue of getting off the backing. Only issue I had was it took off the paint off my S’well water bottle. Loving these hacks, now I’m definitely will be checking out those pillow cases and cloches! Ugg, a few weeks ago I donated my complete pink dish set to the Good Will! Figures! Loved you stacking the cake stands into a tier tray. I would put your grandmother’s on top because it’s stunning and you can see it better that way. Need to make a trip to that IKEA store when in Otown area again!!

For the vinyl not sticking to the transfer tape: small change that I’ve found helps a lot-flip it over. So, put the xfer tape on the bottom and pull the vinyl backing off. (As opposed to pulling the xfer tape off of the backing). I hope that makes sense. Anyway-has helped a ton for me!!

I find it's easier to remove vinyl from the backing when you flip it over and remove the backing from the vinyl, not have it design side up and remove the vinyl from the backing. Also, I like contact paper for larger pieces, like you had...HOWEVER, it is not my favorite choice. It is much harder to get vinyl to stick to contact paper in my experience. My favorite transfer paper is from 143vinyl, their medium tack transfer tape. I also prefer their vinyl. I have never been a fan of Cricut brand vinyl. I just don't think it weeds well. The vase was gorgeous! I would love to see it etched! I bet that would be so pretty. I love your channel, you have helped me gather my courage and realize I can do more than I thought! TY!

I just love your laugh! I am not a cricket user but I really loved your large glass vases! Question: do you have to use white vinyl for stencils? It looked really hard to pick the “weeds” out. Another question: if you turned your vinyl over and rolled the paper backing off, would it have been any easier? I also love the pink cake plate, but I wonder if it would have been more stable if you reversed the bottom piece… And also, the purse was brilliant, and I’ve been sewing way longer than you! The zipper and the hardware were really smart! I learn from you with every project and I sure wish all kids could learn more about sewing and building and fixing things in high school!!

I have a gorgeous wood Lazy Susan that I stained with rest-oleum chalked aged glaze and added half wood rounds to the edge. I am not happy with the finished product and not sure what kind of glaze I would use to make it shiny or do I just paint it white? I was thinking this morning when I saw your wood table centerpiece Lazy Susan that it would be nice to have your audience send in things like this and you help to finish them? I bet there are a lot of us out here that have projects just sitting there and we don’t know quite how to finish them? :-)🤷♀️🥰
