⭐️RECIPES⭐️
FLUFFY HOT PINK ROUND CHALLAH DOUGH
-3/4 cup water
-1.5 cups beets (about 2 cooked beets or raw)
BLEND beets & water together
FOR DOUGH:
Take 1 cup of this beet & water blend and add it to:
-4 cups flour (I used white spelt flour)
-1.5 tsp salt
-1.5 tsp active dry yeast
-1/2 tsp vinegar
- 1 egg (for egg wash - or if vegan 1 tsp honey 1 tsp olive oil 1 tsp water)
INSTRUCTIONS:
-Blend water & beets together
-Add 1 cup of the beets & water mixture and add it to dry ingredients.
-Start kneading or put into stand mixer
-This dough should be FIRM (to keep the shape) so you might need to add more flour - until a fluff playdough like consistency that doesn't stick to your hands.
-Let rise until it doubles (about an hour)
-Then start rolling dough into snakes and make a challah braid.
-Pinch the 2 ends of the braids together and tuck it into the bottom.
-Brush Egg wash onto bread & add toppings (I added sesame seeds)
-Rise for around 25 mins
BAKE for Around 20 mins at 350f 190c
