Great seeing more about your process - not only you in action taking photographs but inside the makeshift darkroom as well. The portraits of Audrey and Maggie were great. 👌🏼

Some nice compositions, Alex. I liked especially the open field with the object, centered, in the far distance. You might wish to explore getting a spot meter and pre-visualization of tones. Nick Carver has a very good light meter course, if a bit pricey. I took it, and it was helpful, even though I had studied Adams’ The Negative book on his zone system. The approach allows you to better fix the luminosity of elements within your composition, depending on the dynamic limits of your chosen film stock. I think Portra 400 has a range of about 8 stops. However, Nick recommends considering additionally your developing process and your scanning process to better assess your actual, as-shot-developed-and-scanned range of tones; itks not just the film that determines final result. Again, good work. The Rollei is a gem.

Thanks for the comment and the fantastic advice. Nick's videos are great. I picked up a Pentax Digital Spoteter about 6 months back and have been using it with the zone system pretty religiously as of late (especially with my GW690). Definitely has given me much more control and is a joy to use process wise. Another great book along with "The Negative" is the Practical Zone System by Chris Johnson. I havn't gotten into the weeds of development time and printing yet, mainly because of the variety of subject matter I shoot, but i'm sure I'll give it a go eventually. Thanks again for the comment!
