Honestly, fire Antuan. The sheer disregard of his job is apparent here. He stated himself that he didn't have time to look up the specs however he knew that it had 350 HP and 260-something lb-ft. However, he didn't take the extra second to see that it was a 3.7L engine, not a 3.5L. That's ridiculous. You on purpose created this off-shoot channel for all things about cars and he states himself that he can't be bothered to spend 5 seconds to get true information. He's a journalist, that's what journalists do. I would understand if it was something obscure or unknown. But the 370Z has been out for the better half of a decade now and it's been a 3.7L engine ever since it got the 370 name. CNET on Cars is going downhill fast. Nothing bothers me more when I see a lazy reporter publishing information that is readily accessible to literally anyone. Type in "2017 370Z Nismo" and the first result on google is a small specs sheet where engine displacement is one of the first points. Antuan, you need to be ashamed of yourself for calling yourself a journalist and publishing crap like this. If you're going to publish information, double check your facts and statements. Or at the very least take 3 seconds to find the basic facts. Honestly, I'm disgusted by this. CNET an Cooley, take care of this joke of a reporter. Emme is ok thus far, maybe a little less forced dialogue would go a long way for her

@EUC-lid

+dombower There are 4 quarts in a US gallon, as opposed to your 5 quarts/UK gallon. It's closer to 24mpg in the UK. For an engine that basically dates back to 1988, has port injection, a single-scroll turbo, a terrible bore:stroke ratio and is making 122hp/L while carting around a drivetrain that happily handles 500hp, it's not terrible.. .. but you've got to acknowledge those factors to even pretend it's decent fuel mileage for a car that does a (slow by modern standards) 6.7s 5-60. Hell, it's one of the reasons I ditched my old STI. They aren't really enough fun on the street to justify the fuel and maintenance costs.

Compared to the WRX which can manage nearly 30mpg (US) while being just as fast on the street (and more fun), the STI's fuel mileage is really terrible. I traded my old STI in on a MINI Cooper S. It was slower, but way more fun while easily getting 36mpg.

If I want a sports car I'll do a Honda S2000 and get the STi for sedan duties. The Z is too fat for my taste, it's a GT not a true sports car.

Diablo99V Yessss, I have my STI as a daily its fun and does what I need it to do.. And a broken ap1 s2000 that is getting fixed, when its fixed will be a nice combo. 😏 370zs are not really good at anything. I would take a 300zx TT any day over a 370z becuase I love Z32s. I still have my Z32 NA that I may convert to turbo one day.

but it doesnt turn heads. people will stare at a z. of course this depends where your from but in many countries you will see one only once every few weeks. the standard sedan shape of the subaru is just going to blend in. and the Z's are an event to drive. theatre.

you are clearly living under a rock with a Z standing over it, subarus are very eye catching cars how do you explain it to be the most ticketed car in the usa. "it doesnt turn heads" your prolly wearing a neck brace take it off and you will ne able to look back when a subie passes by im not a 370z hater i like nissans and the 370z is a good looking car, i know you said it depends where you live, but since you said the "standard shape of a subaru is going to blend in" it really dosent not the sti model that is

Brandon Michaels that’s an accurate description. Subarus are lowkey for burnt out fake rayban wearing potheads. But the Z is very effeminate, to the world. I’m not saying it’s girly, that’s just how the world sees it.

Can you guys leave cars to the big boys or professionals ?
@orneryduck4646
3 жыл бұрын
Emme Hall is one of the 'big boy' professionals. Sometimes flubs happen, especially when it comes to specs. Owning a car or being a fan of a car and knowing the specs of said car is one thing. It is a different animal to be given a car for 72 hours and have to fit in: driving it, understanding it, writing an article or script about it, in their case shooting the video, then possibly editing it in post after the fact if they don't have a dedicated editor, all while also likely doing re-shoots or photography for other mediums and executing on the social media aspect that doesn't tie directly back to the video itself. Once the pros get through that, they then get the keys to another car and it is rinse-repeat, thousands of cars... easy to get confused on a small number that anyone can look up on their own without the car with them. Matters a whole lot of not at all. What matters is that they can communicate how the car feels, how it sounds, and how it performs in the moment, the things they are experiencing as the content creator, that we as the viewership are not.

this was so bad Im shocked you published it. You are comparing a awd sedan to a rwd sport coupe and evaluate on practicality. Nevermind the fact that the Nismo is $10k more than the STI. That would require you guys to list facts. Im happy you guys never traded cars so it would be a ....you know.. comparison. Instead we were treated with two separate reviews with no listing of specs because "I didn't have time to". I would be embarrassed of this if I were you. Everyday vloggers do better takes than this.

First it's a 3.7 liter not a 3.5 and second it's called the 370 z because again it's a 3.7 liter. It's not called the 370 because of the amount of horses it has. You can tell these people are not real car enthusiasts. I guess it's just a job.

Wow...since there are plenty of people already commenting on how stupid the presentation went, I will add something different. When your title says "vs." I want to see a matchup. Your butt dyno doesn't tell me squat. In addition, the gal stated the HP/TQ numbers, but the buffoon did not state any HP/TQ numbers for the Nismo 370Z. The least you could have done is copy and paste performance data from a car magazine...and you couldn't even do that.I am saying this will all sincerity...please do it right next time.

as a 370z owner, this was a machine gun of bs. i like both the sti and 370z don't get me wrong. starting with the drag race...come on, they are literally just about identical with 0 to 60 times as well as quarter mile times...then let's move to what 1.5 minutes on google could have fixed, the specs. wtf bro!? 3.5 was the 350z, get it 3.5>350z, then in 2009!!! when the 370 dropped it had but of course a 3.7. sigh, then he gets the torque wrong and they don't fix any of this with all the editing they did seriously? i always love when people ask how practical a sports car is. smh it's a fucking sports car. if you want practical, go buy a mini van dumbass. people don't review a mini van on a track and say which is better, it's honestly a stupid topic to even cover. it all comes down to what you prefer, which in my opinion, if you were going to choose a subaru, choose the wrx fully loaded and get it tuned with a couple add ons and you will be faster than an sti for cheaper. btw better gas mileage also. my 370z averages 24 mpg btw. rant over!
