I've always wondered what ends up happening to trips that are won on these kinds of shows. Did you both go? Was it actually fun, or a complete nightmare? Also, did you all get to keep the gifts from the end, or just the security system and art from the beginning?

I think the reason they called the big trip "the vacation of a lifetime" on the Lifetime version only is because they were alluding to the name of the network. And if that is the reason (please tell me the correct reason if I'm wrong about that), that's why on all subsequent versions, they had to use the term "dream vacation".

A web search says that the election special mentioned in the voiceover at the end of the show aired on 9/15/92, so this probably aired between 9/9-9/11/92 or on 9/14/92.

Now this is from the 1992 run and is from the second season because of the intro and the mid-episode fee plugs, but I wonder how may episodes were produced from this season, I'm thinking 130 episodes.

I did some math and found out how many episodes each season ran for. I organized the seasons in different groups so you can understand better. (Lifetime version) Season 1: 65 Season 2: 130 Season 3: 130 Season 4: 130 (The Family Channel version known as The New Shop 'til You Drop) Season 5: 100 Season 6: 65 (PAX version) Season 7: 80 Season 8: 100 Season 9: 90 Season 10: 90 Total: 980 episodes Does that solve your mystery?
