Hi Laura, it’s a strange year with weather this year. Most years I watch your videos and that gives me the hope and motivation for spring, as we are usually far behind you! You’ve typically got warmer weather and in t shirts, and running around planting and caring for seedlings. Whilst we typically start to warm up in mid April it’s mostly may before we start planting out. I’m in England in the southeast. It’s always wet, overcast and by tbd time may gets here we are desperate for colour and for our spring to begin. To see you planting out far later than us this year is the strangest thing. I kept getting confused thinking, “why isn’t Laura planting, where’s my inspiration “ 😂 my start of season is usually watch Laura and start planning my spring containers and going off to research plants you’ve shown to us that I’ve never seen before. I have mobility issues due to an auto immune disease, and sometimes I can’t get into the garden, I can’t tell you how much your videos lift me out of my fug, of feeling frustrated I can’t get out there, and your videos inspire me so much, I can lose myself in them and go off researching and then even looking into all the different varieties within a species you’ve introduced to me. So I want to say a huge thank you to you Aaron and your lovely little ones, because this year has really highlighted to me just how much your videos lift me at a time of year my disease is often at its worse, so being stuck indoors waiting for the weather to lift to begin easing my stiffness, so I can get out in the garden. But the great thing is, your excitement for plants, colours and combinations you use, fill me with the excitement for what’s to come whilst I wait for the weather and my health to improve before I can get out and as you say, “take after” my new plans for that season because of you! I hope you realise just how much you help people like me? Your family warms my soul and I look on thinking to myself, ‘now if I was healthy, that life is the life I’d be in my happiest place’ so I dream whilst watching you all 😊 I know this year you’ve seemed to have lost a little bit of the bug…. So I think the slow spring for you has come just at the right time, enabling you to take some time out and enjoy more family time. I’m sure the big will bite once more, as soon as you’ve got consistent temperatures with that glorious sunshine you get. Your current weather that you seen so grateful for, is the weather we live with the most and I often think, ‘how depressing’ that overcast sky is, over time it really affects mental health in a negative way. Blue skies lift the mind and the soul, but I’ve learnt through you the benefits of that, and really we shouldn’t be complaining about it. I hope my message helps you know just how much you inadvertently help me and others like me, I’m certain! I hope that helps to boost your gardening bug and that you find your motivation and that beautiful passionate vibe you always carry. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Enjoy our,………….. damp overcast weather whilst we enjoy seeing how you deal with the challenges this brings for you this year. 😊😊

Belle, I live in north west Wisconsin and you have our weather. It's nearly May and the snow just finally melted followed by weeks of rain. I haven't touched my garden beds. I have had 4 back surgeries so I too am limited. And, yes, I enjoy watching Laura the whole extended family and her crew. I even made a trip out west to visit my kids. Andrew Seed was right between both kids' homes. I was able to meet Monica and a sweet lady that works for them. Worth the stop. Many of my Christmas presents came from there :)

I am an artist (took a 2 yr break while I was pregnant and spending time with my babies) I never had an interest in committing my time to even watering the plants in the balcony. But now something has changed. I am obsessed! I think each and every single plant I take care of is its own work of art that keeps giving and changing day in and day out. My morning coffee is now accompanied by excited rushing to the balcony and seeing what grew and what needs my attention. Instead of having my miserable shrek face that needs caffeine before anyone wakes up and asks mommy for breakfast🤣 making each plant its best self takes dedication, I didnt know I had such a passion for it until recently. Now I need to art it up again 😮

Thanks to Laura I plan on visiting my local garden center here in Grants Pass! I spent all weekend out in the yard, cleaning up flower beds and preparing my raised beds and doing some spring planting. I was also glad that I wasn't too late in planting potatoes. This year I want to plant them in 2 huge round planters (almost like a raised bed). In past years I have found potatoes throughout my garden and wondered why? then realizing our dog had dug up potatoes and buried them in random places! It's the only thing she has been known to disturbed in the garden. We have some super beautiful days ahead and I am so excited to finally get started on more projects outside! I've been in remission for almost a year and aside from my grandbabies gardening is my passion. Thank you Laura and Aaron for your inspiration! The perfect morning is coffee in hand and watching Garden Answer then maybe a call and hearing, "I love you Grandma." Feeling blessed for sure! 🙂

I love it when you visit your parents nursery. My local nursery, which is considered one of the best nurseries in the area only covers one variety of blueberries in one raspberry. I know this because I bought a raspberry and blueberry bush this year. I had a big garden years ago, and after my dad passed away, and I was having terrible migraines so high stopped gardening, but after an emergency trip to the hospital, we discovered what was causing most of my migraines and now have them under control. And then I discovered your KZitem channel last year and you have inspired me to start gardening again only this time with raised beds! I would also love to have a small, emphasis on small tunnel greenhouse. I just haven’t figured out how to lay everything out of my backyard. I did start last year on my front and side flowerbeds, still working on them. Wish I could find your bleeding hearts to go in my front flower bed that is in the shade.

You generally don't see heat tolerance alone on tags, the only clue is if it lists a range. Generally speaking, a reputable nursery won't sell things that don't do well in your area. Even the big box stores usually don't, because their suppliers are ultimately on the hook for customer returns, so they don't want to lose money. At least that's how it works in my Zone 7 Southern area.

I know you're not that into red roses, but you will find that having some dark red will really make bouquets pop, especially if you use a lot of muted colored roses. It gives the bouquet some structure and contrast. My favorite dark red rose is Ingrid Bergman. It looks like dark burgundy red velvet. It is a show stopper and is such a hearty plant. It also has a nice scent. Other favorites in my formal rose garden is "All Dressed Up" and "Love at First Sight". The last one is a dark pink magenta with an icy white back on each petal. The rose bush pumps out copious amounts of blooms all season. You would probably go crazy for "Sweet Mademoiselle", as you tend to gravitate towards that color. Roses are repeat bloomers, and I deadhead once a week. They are also varacious feeders. I use bayer systemic and feed every six weeks, but with drip, you might need to feed once a month. If you don't use a systemic, you'll be overwhelmed with aphids. Roses are high maintenance flowers, but well worth the effort. I find the Hybrid Teas are total work horses in the garden and bloom on and on if pruned weekly and fed properly and regularly.

They actually filmed some of the quidditch scenes from Harry Potter, as well as some scenes from Downtown Abbey there and when you visit you can do a quidditch event or try some archery. The town and countryside setting is gorgeous. The gardens and fountains were my favourite thing though. A must see for the next time you visit the UK!

I have never seen such an incredible garden center! I am jealous that I cannot shop there😣 ......But I am very appreciative that you share all you and your family gardens & of course the garden center. I will be demanding more of my local garden center now. 😂

I would love video specific to roses. Talk about the different types of roses and your favorite from each type. Also any specific care. I can’t figure out the difference between landscape and tea rose.

Laura, would you consider doing a video (or more?) that goes through the various roses? For example, you explained a difference between a floribunda and something else that was very helpful. There have to be so many differences between the different types of roses.

"Monicus" ❤ "Graupel" 😮😂 I had to look up graupel. It's a German word. How amazing! Don't know how I've lived so long and never heard of it. Thanks for teaching us about more than plants.❄💧 Love that you're teaching Benjamin words like ominous.

Hey Guys… I was rewatching a video from 3 years ago. “Designing a Narrow Flowerbed”. Out pops Little Benjamin with a giant monkey. Ooh my heart… he is such a sweet boy that I had to cry just a little at how he has grown. You and your family feel so much a part of my life. Love you guys and wanted you to know it!

I love the garden center tour as we don’t have a garden center that nice close to me. Love watching you all. Good job.
