There are quality tunes today as well. You can't honestly believe that at some point in the past, music was "better", can you? You say music in the 90s was "better", when back in the 90s people proclaimed that 80s and 70s were far better than the "new garbage" on the radio. In the 70s people thought that it was terrible that the beautiful music of the 50s and 60s was gone, now the "newfangled rock and roll" was taking over everything. In the 60s they missed the crooners, etc., etc., in the 1920s people lamented the passing of the 19th century styles. In ten or twenty years, you'll hear, "damn, they don't make music like they used to twenty years ago." Despite the obvious logical fallacy, people continue to believe that "they just don't make it like they used to." Today's popular music is the classical music of tomorrow, folks. And if you say, "yeah but look at the garbage on the radio," I say to you, "who the hell listens to FM radio anymore?" Go and proactively find stuff you love.
@mrmustard-mp6ij
6 жыл бұрын
I'll say the same to you - if you think quality rap is dead or gone, I feel sorry for you, man. You're probably only looking at the 15, 20 guys that are promoted by three (count em!) major record labels, and ignoring the hundreds or thousands of dope ass hip hop artists that don't make it on FM radio. Spend a day on soundcloud man, not just the iTunes top 50.
@hybred3969
5 жыл бұрын
Is not about the quality, today there is good music also, but is about the soul, the feeling and the sound, today people try to sound like in the 90's but they can't make it(today everything sounds too good too clear), is like the last songs from wu-tang, that are nothing compare with those from the 36 chambers album, that rugged and raw dirty shit, is just not the same...also the uniqueness and originality and characteristic style from each group from that era.

Verse 1: Shortie No Mass] I got a million highways for me to run right through it Shit’s like fluid by the way I kept it flowin' Showin' mad peculiar sounds for a chick Don’t forget that my shit’s like butter when it sounds like this Diss me not, I’d rather have you sweatin' Find it hard to see you hate my guts, but, still, you’re not alone Through the song that I recite, you’re gettin' hyper by the minute If this shit is soundin' ill, best believe I’m up in it Forty-five degrees in the shade I’m made up of many more degrees to keep you cool Live and I resided in your woods, felt the need for a change I'm on the move, so I do it like this [Verse 2: Shortie No Mass] Like alchemists and I provided what the others lack: Some verbs stepping back in your rhyme-you got to track I get your move on, plus I’m getting liver with my age I be the major for your friends and, not to mention, many foes Your freaking ho tried to hate me. Pardon me, miss I kept it real. I’m coming straight from the heart While Mr. Walter love to keep me in line You get to know me, you’ll find I like it better like this I’d rather see you get it on and while you dig it I want to be large but I haven’t grown an inch Yes, it says to keep your hype-fat tracks.
