Bradford! I love that phrase, “don’t ask God to bless what you’re doing, find what God is blessing, and do that.” it’s like that phrase, “don’t ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” God bless you dude!

I had been called into ministry from a young age, but ignored it until I was 24 because I wanted to do what I wanted. Life has gotten so much better once I stepped into what God has for my life. Don’t run away from your calling! So good!

I was so scared to go to school for worship, and do that full time. God opened some doors and closed others, and here I am, doing exactly that. He. will guide and provide for where he wants you!

Thank you, Bradford, for sharing the Word and sharing how it has real-world application. Your heart for service shines through.

Very refreshing, brother. I typically show up for the nerdy stuff we all geek out over but this, I must say, is WAY more fulfilling. It brought me back to those few times where I was desperate to find my place as a worship leader somewhere. And now, I am ridiculously blessed as the worship leader at the most awesome church with incredible people. It’s such a journey!! Godspeed, my friend.

I have played worship since I was 16. When I was 28, I was a solider and very depressed. I felt God calling me to return my home church to pursue worship. So I left the military, went home and played worship as much as I could. Some weeks I was only working 15 hours, but I somehow always paid my bills and had food. After about 2 years, I felt God calling me to Korea. So I moved here, within 6 months I met my wife and we bought an apartment and my life is good, except it's been very hard for me to find a church. I feel the call to do worship again. I need to pray for guidance.

Honestly, after doing missionary work in the U.S. I really warn people against thinking emotions are the call of God. Especially students. Please don't confuse the two and practice discernment and practice logic in everything you do.

I've been singing and playing guitar for over twenty years and I occasionally play at church..I'm not exactly a worship leader, but a soloist..my biggest hangup is being able to break through the self consciousness and being nervous in front of people..I love playing the guitar and music in general but I struggle with whether God really wants me to keep doing this..people tell me there is ministry when I share, but I am seriously thinking of not doing it anymore until God removes my fears of what people think of me and my self awareness..I'm really struggling with this..

Steve, I have been playing lead guitar for the past 13 years. We average about 2,500-3,000 people in our two Sunday services. I can promise you that "people are not thinking about you" while you are on stage. If you are not confidant in your abilities, then practice until you are. God can use you to lift up his name through Worship music. When we play it is about glorifying God's name not about the people on the stage. Play to do that, and the rest will take care of itself.

Is it possible to somehow get a worship leader/band job somewhere, but have a different home church? Worship and music is my passion, but I’m also very dedicated to my small church and they don’t offer paid positions.
