When I "discovered" sriracha I put it on everything and had no spice tolerance, so it was very painful coming in and coming out :P But over time your nervous system adapts (not just on your tongue, but also your butt!) and it isn't that spicy anymore. I've even graduated to spicier sauces now As long as you go slowly you won't have burning poops :P

I'm used to the spicy tteokbokki my mom makes but this one time oof. I brought home some indian spices from a sports trip to Durban. Didn't think it would be so spicey but considering the name of one of the spices was "mother in law be gone" I was so wrong. She incorporated those spices in and my soul I've never eaten something so spicy, no one in my family could eat it. So I dished some of the leftovers for my friend at school who is Indian. She ate it like nothing and said it was so good 🤣.

I started building up my spice tolerance about two months ago. I started with very little amounts. And very slowly but surely increased the spice level. I wasn't trying to do a challenge or anything so I did it at my own pace. And now, I am definitely able to eat spicy curries which even my mom couldn't eat without drinking like 2 bottles of water. And mind you, we are both Asians (indians).

Build the spice tolerance! Start slowly with things like spicy chicken everyday until that spice don't hurt anymore. In the meanwhile, eat one spicy pepper each week going up by one spice level each time. Then, 2 to 3 spicy meals each week, increasing the level of spice each meal. Sooner or later, that spicy chicken will be nothing to you. You got this girl.

You'll have to find something that's spice enough that you can eat multiple before you cant handle it. Try to slowly increase how much and how often you eat this snack and push your ability to eat just one more than before even though its spicy. Generally the faster you eat it the more you can get down but it's a spice contest not an eating contest lol. You just keep eating something like spicy soup or fish cakes that you make at home and just spice it up a little more or with a stronger pepper each time.
