Yep! I always taught my little sister to be nice with employees and other shoppers and to be respectful with the testers. She loves makeup and skincare, I teach her what is good for her skin and what isn’t! She likes going in there and swatching a bit of makeup on her arms. I promised her that if she stops being nice and respectful like an adult, I won’t take her to adult stores anymore! Not all tweens are like this and I truly believe that Sephora kids act like that because of the parents! ❤

Children shopping at Sephora is fine. The fact that they shop at Sephora isn’t the problem, the problem is when some children ruin the samples, make messes, and are disrespectful.
@justsomeonerandom6
4 ай бұрын
The problem is not only about respect. Ok they are respectful to employees and don’t make a mess but they buy products with active ingredients like retinol, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid etc, which will ruin their skin at such a young age and might cause future problems. Makeup might be fine (it’s still not because it is meant for adults not child’s play) but skincare especially products with these kind of active ingredients is a big no.

my little sister (10 / 11) went into Sephora the other day, I came with her because she isn’t allowed to go unaccompanied, to get one thing from the drunk elephant section ( I think she tried getting the lala retro cream ) and it was ATROCIOUS I TELL YOU. Half of the items were missing , many unidentifiable serums and liquids were covering the lid of the pump for the moisturizers, gunk on the floor and several girls / boys around my sisters age circling the section. This other bratty tween was holding the cloudberry essence toner from glow recipe (I’m not sure if that’s the name) , which has vitamin C in it and little girls and boys shouldn’t be putting it on their face. So I said “You know that you shouldn’t really buy that toner? It’s too harsh for your young skin!” As politely as I could but she replied “Um okay? I think you need it more seeing the pimples and gunk on your face” and tossed the toner towards me and it fell on the floor. *BUT PLEASE REMEMBER TO BE KIND AND RESPECTFUL TO PEOPLE IN PUBLIC AND IK NOT ALL TWEENS / TEENS ARENT LIKE THIS IT WAS JUST THE ONES AT MY SEPHORA*

There does NOT need to be an age limit for Sephora. As long as they’re being respectful to the employees and not making a mess, I don’t see the problem. Plus I am under 15 (i dont want to say my age) and I love makeup and skincare. I only get stuff that’s okay for my skin but what if the ten year olds with retinol in their hands are getting it as a gift for someone. It is not fair if some kids are ruining it for others just because they are crazy. Kids being into makeup and skincare is not a new thing. They could be doing much worse things. Please just leave these young girls alone and have adults talking about this not ruining it for respectful kids.

I think that it’s completely fine for kids to be at Sephora. In my opinion I just think that maybe they should have age restrictions for whatever skincare that has retinol and other products in it not made for kids. Maybe makeup too because it really depends on what is inside of it to be safe for 10 year olds. I know my limits and some ppl who think that they can do whatever they want cause they THINK that they’re being cool but it really only messes with ur face. I personally that we absolutely should not ban kids from sephora at a certain age. Just because some kids are being disrespectful doesn’t mean we should target every child that walks into sephora. Yes, obviously some children are disrespectful at sephora, but I have seen 10-12 y/o in sephora being super kind and only looking at products that are okay for their skin, such as lip gloss/oil, non-active moisturizer, cleanser, and sunscreen. Here’s my idea: if a child is acting up and using unsafe products, they should first get a warning if they are using unsafe products, and if they are being rude tell them simply as you would a child that is being disrespectful, tell them they are being rude and give them a warning such as parent supervision, not being able to use testers, or employees not letting kids buy unsafe products at the register. Also, the parents are a problem too, they stand around and let their child act up. The parents should care more too. Thank you for reading if you made it here XOXO a respectful Sephora tween/teen (surprise)

I think also there should be a age limit but if the parents of the children are giving permission and coming with her for buy products they should allow them go inside but there should be a age limit in some products

Honestly I’m scared of Sephora employees… But if I do go into Sephora I’d just get what I NEED and not things that aren’t meant for me!

luckily i was raised to have manners and only use testers to genuinely test a little for any allergic reactions before buying or just to swatch a tiny bit on the back of my hand to see how a shade looks on me

There should be a Sephora teens for all the teens that want to go be preppy, but they only sell products that are good for their skin. I’m totally fine with kids and teens who wanna enjoy what we do and go get skincare make up.

I think kids should be at Sephora, but like not ruining the drunk elephant and like stuff and not being rude to the workers

The only thing i get is touchland and Sol de Janerio. My skin is oily, bumpy, and a bit miscolored. I only buy the things i need especially with the permission of my adult/gurdian

Ok so I am younger, and I went to a Sephora for the first time last weekend, I only got a couple of things + I got stuff that is ok for my skin, I follow an esthetician on here and has videos that tells what you can and can’t buy from certain brands and why. Also, I was respectful to the employees and I didn’t even touch any of the testers except for a couple perfumes. I think if the kids are respectful, it is a-ok but that’s just my opinion.

I’m a 11 year old drunk elephant it’s good but my skin is nice and soft but some kids has bad skin and some kids wants glow recipe it’s pretty good but if it says AHA i don’t think is good for some kids skin and like we have to have our parents with us or if u just go alone is best to not ruin anything and use the testers and not ruin Sephora and if u wanna make a smoothie just make it on ur hand what’s gonna happen if u do the drunk elephant smoothie on ur hand no big problem! And sephora employees will maybe get rid of the testers if this keeps happening!! I hope all kids or anyone else can understand TESTERS MAYBE WILL BE REMOVED!!! maybe a like will help for everyone to understand?!(not begging!)
