look people excusing lonzo's play and talking about wins. thats choppy excuse to not wanting to admit he needs to do a better job at knocking down those plethora of open shots he's being given, and btw even in the bulk of their wins his stats mirror this exact night. lets focus on the guy helping you get these W's in kuzma and the several other guys who play hard and knock down the shots that matter to keep you in the game.

Skip , Who cares about lonzo shooting 41 percent for 3's in UCLA. For one everyone knows the college line is closer. The college talent is no wheres near the NBA level, half of those college players lonzo played vs in college are not making an NBA roster. The same guys lonzo played vs in college are working regular jobs now. Some of them might be taking our order at McDonald's now.

Shannon is 100% right...if u didnt know lonzo ball then everybody would be saying he garbage. Lonzo looks alot like a bust. Idc about his tripple doubles. He cant score from.the point postion makes him a liability on offense. Unlike lebron lonzo cant take over a game lonzo relies to much on his teammates so when his teammates are doing bad dnt ecpect lonzo to help at all..lonzo ball should have been a late 1st or 2nd round pick.

Well Skip unfortunately coaching has a lot to do with player performance. For instance, last year Jae Crowder was a 40% shooter from 3 point range for the Celtics and he took a lot of them... For Cleveland he is shooting 32% and he's shooting a lot less. By the same token Jae was considered a defensive stopper for Boston, for the Cav's he's been terrible...almost a complete turn around, For the Celtics he was a PLUS player (+4.5) for the Cavs he's been a MINUS player (-5). The difference? Jae went from being coached by Brad Stevens, to being coached (if you can call it that) by Ty Lue.

Kuzma is taking TOO much of Lonzo's SPOTLIGHT. Main Stream Media wants to downplay him. The Lakers don't want Kuzma OUTPLAYING Lonzo. Kuzma is the most consistent player on the team, even as a ROOKIE & everyone can SEE it. He has the most confidence. The Lakers DON'T like that either. He is currently leading the team in scoring(Which they won't allow). LUKE has been criticizing him the most & praising Lonzo. Instead of being happy to have TWO promising rookies. I feel sorry for Kuzma, his organization wants him to succeed...but they don't want him to exceed Lonzo(For reasons other than basketball). It's like that best friend who lowkey hates on you. ANYONE WITH EYES 👀 CAN SEE KUZMA SHOULD REMAIN A STARTER. But Larry Nance Jr will jump right back into the starting line up. Coming off a BROKEN HAND. & The Lakers will move their LEADING SCORER to the BENCH. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😩😩

Diego Alvarez I know. But that was his crazy a** dad who said that nonsense. If it was Lonzo himself that said that, then I could understand all the scrutiny. There's just nothing "great" about anything he does in the context of the NBA. Not even his passing. He can definitely develop into a competent PG in the NBA but right now there's no justifying him as a #2 pick. I want Lonzo to succeed but seriously I'll be shocked if he ever makes even one all-star appearance. And you can tout about the 2 triple doubles but in such a fast-paced league when the guy plays 40+ minutes it's honestly not that impressive when there's so many possessions. I watched the highlights of his recent triple double and there's not a single play he does that "wows" me except maybe a couple above average passes. I'm not dumb enough to write Lonzo off completely, but I really feel for the kid right now, and I never understood the hype for him. If you're not somewhat worried about him as a Lakers fan you're delusional. But at least Kuzma is a steal and they have young talent regardless.

I mean as a Laker fan, speaking objective, I do appreciate him rebounding the way he does and faciliating the way he does. He's averaging 7.1 rpg and 6.9 apg. who cares Lonzo may be bad on points/shooting percent but he excels in rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.. give him a break he just turned 20.. kuzma played 3 seasons in college, ben simmons had the last year off to just get ready for this season. You guys dont think he will get better???? give him time and he will grow as a player... you guys are judging him for his first 20 games?? Ben simmons should not be even considered a rookie, hes a sophmore. And the Lakers still have a better than expected record, even better than okc!

Have you actually watched the games I have... Last night he was boxing out a Center in the 4th Qtr trying to get a rebound hes a damn good Rebounder, and them not guarding him has nothing to do with that hes getting defensive rebounds.

30 Rebounds in 2 games for a Rookie PG is absolutely ridiculous, The only thing people can complain about is his shot, hes rated the #2 Rookie Defender behind Ben Simmons and Top 5 in assists steals and Blocks. The league better hope his shot doesnt fall, because he does everything else very well.

The lakers have been a losing team for the 2 seasons prior and expect reform to the showtime lakers? Everybody hyping Embiid but this is his 4th season, 2 & a half of waiting. The process took at least 4 years, rebuilds aren’t over night. Wait until next season. Kawhi wasn’t beastin until a few seasons in, people who don’t know basketball have the hardest opinions.
And just like I suspected he is the talk of news when no triple double happens or when he shoots bad even tho he contributed rebounds, played defense, and great outlet passes. But lets keep criticizing one thing over and over when that same problem can be fixed over time (his shooting)

Lonzo's stats through 19 games: 9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.1 assists, 32% fg, 27% from 3. Jason Kidd's stats through his first 19 games: 8.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 33% fg, 13% from 3. Now what were we talking about?

People clinging on to the one thing he does well... rebound. Nothing impressive, sorry to say. He steals rebounds from "big men" on his own team. He isn't the only one.. Westbrook just the same. These gaueds come steals rebounds and I'm not impressed. Lonzo can't shoot, can't defend...can pass (but less impressive than I expected) and can't do much of anything else. I'm sorry, he isn't going to magically shoot better. He needs to change his form to have any hope. This is no slump skip.
