Increasing numbers are travelling to countries like Turkey and South Africa to have weight-loss, and other cosmetic procedures, done relatively cheaply. It also allows them to skip the waiting lists here - which can sometimes be up to four years.
But, they often face complications - and in those cases, they come back to the NHS to get them fixed for free. Doctors here are saying they're being left to 'pick up the pieces', and that it's putting an extra burden on them.
