Gaming Bubbles are here for the long term, where you see explosive growth for a new game release, only for player numbers to drop off suddenly mere weeks later.
This fast food style of gaming doesn't bode well for the future of our industry, as lower effort releases, fewer innovative solutions and mass produced and recycled ideas will be the name of the game in the hope of maximizing revenue. Subscription gaming, odd pricing and the sheer choice on offer is fueling these gaming bubbles.
But is it really all that bad? Doesn't it also offer us more choice than ever and open the door for a killer release to take us all by storm? Think Palworld, BattleBit Remastered or Helldivers 2. Well, let's discuss this and more in today's opinion piece.
And as always, play nice in the comments! Love to you all, Reggie xxx
