This is quickly becoming g my new favourite channel! Great job mate, you’re most certainly filling the void that “Seek Adventure” left behind. Keep up the great work!

Instead of building a full false floor, maybe a half or three quarter length. That way your fridge can stay in that perfect spot for you, while changing the layout options.

Any videos on how you mounted the cooker? And also where did you get the little white sliding door cupboard?

Hi mate, here's a video covering the cooker install: kzitem.info/news/bejne/w6akrWSZs4uCdKA The sliding door cupboard is made using a cheap shelving unit that I put MDF walls on and built the sliding doors themselves from acrylic sheets. 🙂

Some great points there mate. I ended up bolting a bit of 12mm ply down on the canopy floor and now I can screw down whatever I want straight to it. Granted it’s not that deep for a screw hold but its holding for now.

That's a great alternative to a raised floor - lighter weight, easy accessory mounting and still get to maximise internal space, I like it!

Hi mate. I'm just about to get a canopy for my ranger so your videos are giving me great points. Just out of interest, what gear/ program do you use to film/ edit these videos. They are good quality mate. Keep it up.

Hey mate, lately I’ve been filming the majority with a GoPro Hero 8 Black with the settings tweaked (white balance, shutter, bitrate etc) most of the close ups are filmed with an iPhone 12 which works great but I find the colouring a bit inconsistent for the main shots. Editing wise I use Premiere Pro. All that being said though, my first 20 or so vids were all shot and edited on my old iPhone XR. Best of luck with the canopy!

I framed the bottom and then added a plywood top. I then cut out the plywood so I could have a hidden section for items i dont require often like jumper cables spare parts etc. On top of the plywood is a plywood shelf with two drawers, much lighter than the steel drawers. Then a fridge and pantry on the other side.

any ideas on how to fix a false floor to the canopy
@explorebound

Hey mate, a simple solution would be to bolt the supporting beams through the floor of the canopy. Although, if you haven't got access to the underside, I have seen people Sikaflex their supports to the canopy floor, but I can't speak to the durability of this approach.

I watched this vido about 2 months ago before I started a fit out in my own canopy, I thought why the hell wouldn’t you have a false floor?. I have since completed my own canopy fit-out and at the time wasn’t really concerned with GVM limits but now I have to agree 100% with this video. If you’re doing things legally and to manufactures specifications, the weight adds up very quickly.

Hey mate, just had a dig through old comments and I think you may be right about the swiss cheese comment!! Knew I'd heard it somewhere recently - you were on the money with that analogy haha!! The vid itself has been in the pipeline for a while, quite a heavily debated topic across the community so wanted to share my 2c on it. :) Cheers.
