Papa, first the good, I love hauling butt in any terrain and there is nothing better than having a machine that allows you push it to the max of your driving abilities. From a former off road racer and retired LEO there is a fine line of what we do in our rigs. I have a Turbo S and yes I put it to the edge as often as I can, the difference I see from your videos is the risks you are taking as you blast through trails with so many blind spots. There is no way you will be able to stop if a small child on a small quad drives into your path at your speeds. Over the years I have seen so many serious injuries that were life threatening. Almost every single one could have been prevented. Serious accidents that could have been prevented is what will shut down riding areas and this hobby. What if that Can-Am you hit was a small kid? Again don't take this as a major bashing but as a concerned off road enthusiast just trying to get you to see the flip-side of the driving style seen in your videos. Please open that beast up for sure but in areas you know what is and what could end up in your path. That open beach run was sweet ...... and much safer!

I definitely agree with you! Most of the hard riding in trails we have spotters or we are on radios. Luckily when we hit the can am we were going slow on the trail ride. He wasn't going very fast either and it happened to be the worst possibly timing to be in a blind corner. This is why we normally save the trails for night riding when you can at least see lights in the distance. As much as it's a dangerous sport, we try to stay as safe as possible with radio gear or spotters that run ahead of us. It would be awesome if somehow they could have trails marked for one way riding!! I have a 4 seater and always have my kids with me. I will never lead a trail ride for safety reasons!

@@PapaWheeliesWorld Great to hear. I only chimed in because some people don't take those precautions and serious accidents happen. If I missed your disclosure that you do that in your video I am sorry. If it wasn't mentioned by you and shown I know people that check your videos out just might learn something and think twice about their safety and the safety of others when we hit the trails. If just one accident could be prevented that could be the one where everyone doesn't end up okay and heaven forbid a child passes away. There are a number of OHV parks that have directional trails and I believe it absolutely helps on reducing head-on while on the trails. You see it on tight single track motorcycle trails and like at Pink Coral Dunes in Utah they have a KILLER WASH trail you can really rip on. Anyways, love the video and keep enjoying the toy and sharing your info!! :)

@@MrMSScott Holy smokes I totally agree.. I am riding with 7, 9 and 11 year olds and i have the EXACT same concerns. TBH, the oregon dune entrances have been overly populated with no restrictions and has become super dangerous to all types of riders. We need to acknowledge the proliferation of RZR's recently and adapt. Everything is getting faster as the machines get better.. People are more dangerous on these machines because they are more capable. Human capability is not advancing as fast. In the open dunes i dont care... but in the entrance areas there needs to be control.

That stock clutch is good for more power then people think. Larue racing pulled 802hp to the rear wheels using stock shafts and there holding up fine. The machine really is over built. A arms are massive. Its built well . They think they can pull more power on the stock block its taking it fine. For how heavy they are dude the 1000 turbo weighs more . That actually shocked me. Torque is everything.

Thanks for the feedback! 🥰 If you push the limits you'll find them at some point. Your opinion of "horribly unsafe" isn't valid unless you were there. We do have spotters at the dunes when possible. As for the head on tap with the can am, you can see we were only doing about 30 on a single wide multi direction trail. Neither driver had anywhere to go. That's just one of the risks every person riding at the dunes takes. Cheers man! 🤙

@@Dragon_Rider oh, spotters on jumps and when we film whoop sections etc. The tight two way trails are near impossible to have a spotter on the lead car, but we all have radios. Great Video. We've had a turbo'd RZR now for 8 years. We ride the dunes with paddles quite a bit. The biggest downside and what I'd consider the weakest link has been the belt. We have not been able to rally for very long in the dunes with paddles without blowing belts. We ride really hard and put the stock turbo to it's limit as much as possible. Watching your video here it's obvious that you guys ride the same. You mentioned briefly that you can't even smell the belt when going 75-80 mph for a long time. That is amazing if that's true. When you're in the dunes with paddles on, have you ever blown a belt with the way you guys drive? Honestly, I haven't upgraded my turbo RZR (it's 2016) because the belt is still the weak link or maybe I'm wrong?? Thanks in advance!!
@PapaWheeliesWorld
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback! I think the Pro R has 750 miles on it of dunes riding and no blown belt yet. As you've seen, we push them super hard. When we ride hard I struggle to get 150 miles on a belt on my '19 XP Turbo. I'm still blown away that the Pro R hasn't had one single belt issue. I'm with you, I hate blowing belts. Sometimes I'll blow 2 in a weekend trip and it gets expensive. I know I can slow down and make them last, but I bought the rig to feed my adrenaline requirements, not my nature observations, haha. In my honest opinion, I'd say the belt shouldn't be an issue on a Pro R. If I could get 750 miles on a belt I'd be more than happy! I know SXSBlog finally blew their first belt a few episodes ago. I can't remember how many miles they have on it.
