St. Lucian in the place, love the review. Bounty is by far the more popular option among the locals, and with all the different flavours introduced, it becomes more true.

Both of these are harder to find in my area of the US. I've seen the chairman's reserve for about $27-28usd. Have yet to see the bounty anywhere, only have access to the White and Spiced versions

And just a heads up my old rummies, Master of Malt are offering the Rum Advent calander for £99, a £25 discount - you know you deserve it 😉

Hi Steve. Happy New Year. What do you think of the new brand name for Plantation? Long time coming? I’ve also heard they are releasing their cut and dry coconut rum. 🎉

Have known about it for a year or so. Plus know all the…well a lot of the…dealings with a certain other huge global player to get the name approved. A lot of negotiations have had to happen. But I like it. The name is good.

These don’t hit my area and honestly never heard of either of these. I am looking to get some sipping rums but the selection is very limited to many spiced rums. Even on seelbach they only have a few that I would try.

Not sure if there just isn’t much importing from St. Lucia into Ontario Canada, but Bounty is not something I’ve seen and Chairman’s Original costs way over what it probably should at around $55 CDN (£32). Recently I think they sold off the stock they had here and even then it was still $44. I just don’t think this rum would be in my shopping cart at those prices. We’re talking nearly $15-20 than something like a Plantation 5Y Barbados or Xaymaca.

Yeah, I hear ya. That $40-$50 market for you guys (£25) for us is a tough tough market and marginal difference between them all.
