What i would like to see in a "Mavic 4" is swapable camera modules. I stead of purchasing a whole drone for different applications. Particularly for enterpise solutions. I also would like a "bare" unit option, without batteries, controler or proposed camera module. My thoughts for what its worth

Hi thanks for the video… I’m thinking about getting into mapping and I know I eventually want to get into solar. Would it be ok to just get the M3T? I guess I’m trying to figure out if the M3T can do everything the M3E can do + Thermal. And if so, would I save money by only needing to purchase one drone? Thank you.

It would really help if he would slow down the speed of his talking. I found myself having to stop this video at least 6-8 times and replay it and try to understand what he was saying at certain points due to the speed he was talking at. Additionally, his annunciation was challenging to understand certain words. This is not a criticism. I'm simply making a couple of observations because I'm very interested in researching these aircraft.

Will the M3t still do mapping? Is there a way with the M3t to spotlight static a target and keep it fixed while the drone moves? Love the videos btw would love to see a in-depth video comparison between the m30t & M3t I’m undecided between form-factor, price vs actual requirements Needs thermal inspection & Mapping Thanks

Hey, thanks for the reply. We're going to be working on an M30T vs M3T video soon, so keep an eye out for that. For mapping, yes the M3T can do grid (2D), oblique (3D), linear and waypoint missions, just like all of the other models in the DJI enterprise lineup. So for comparison the M30T's wide angle camera has a 1/2-inch CMOS with 12 MP, where as the M3T has 1/2-inch CMOS, with 48MP. When doing a mapping mission the wide angle camera will be selected, or the thermal camera. So the M3T will have a higher MP camera for mapping. That being said, the M30T has a 200x zoom vs the M3T's 56x. The M30T is also substantially more weather resistant, and has a laser range finder. If you will be doing more heavy duty inspection work, I would consider the M30T, but if your just going to be doing mapping missions the M3T may be better for you.

Many thanks really appreciate the speedy response Got a few more questions if it’s ok? The RTK module for the m3t will it work the same as the 3e or do I need the additional receivers/aerials? Also any news on whether the M3t can spotlight on a specific position? Thanks again and really looking forward to seeing your detailed comparison video between the M3t & M30t as no one has done one, in my opinion seriously detailed video will get some serious viewing figures All the best & thanks

1. The RTK module will work exactly the same as the M3E. 2. I haven't tried this myself, however with the M30T they have active track which can focus on moving objects! With both drones you can double tap on the screen to focus in on a specific point in the cameras view and it will adjust to center where you double tapped. I will have to look and see if you can lock focus though. Yeah we are working on getting that video in motion. We are just so busy!

Does the Mavic 3E save the raw GNSS files when shooting manually? This is something you cannot do on the Phatom 4 RTK, thus rendering useless the ability to perform PPK…
@TerrestrialImaging
Жыл бұрын
The M3E and P4RTK use their own GPS to tag images. RTK and PPK correct that GPS data using another GPS system. The only difference is that RTK does it real time. RTK or PPK is not possible without the use of another device. I hope this answers your question.

i have an opportunity to get a brand new Mavic 3e with the RTK module for 3k Or a Phantom 4 RTK for 4k New as well. What do you think is the way to go? What Drone would be better for Camera use like for Cinematic uses case or is that even possible?

The mavic 3e is newer and the way to go. The P4 is discontinued and will no longer have software updates and support like the M3E will.

Standard mavic 3 does not have a mechanical shutter so it will not be as ideal for mapping. You can still use the Mavic 3 Enterprise for regular shooting. It has features and specs geared towards enterprise work

3E vs 3M for survey and mapping? Do people really need the telephoto?
@TerrestrialImaging

The telephoto is not the camera you would use for mapping. The 4/3, 20MP sensor is the one that you would use.

@Terrestrial Imaging LLC yes they both have the 4/3, 20MP, but the question is " Do you really need a Telephoto or would the multispectral be better? "

@@richardhowell505 I see what you are asking now. It depends on the work you do. The telephoto lens is great for visual inspection work. Multipsectral Imaging is more niche. If you have multipsectrial work lined up, than the M3M is one of the most affordable options.

I was coming here to write the same thing!! I almost have to slow the video down to catch everything he is saying. And yet still he is speaking so fast that some of his words trip over each other making them almost unintelligible. I stopped watching because he was making my head spin with the 100mph speak-rate! Dude please slow down in future videos. I give you props on your ability to sound techy with your fast words but it would sound so much better if your words weren’t rolling over each other!
