I'm so happy to hear that there are other people who told God that the next person I date has to be my spouse and it worked for them cause i'm in that season right now. I told God the same after my last heartbreak and i'm allowing Him to work on all my flaws and weaknesses so I can be ready for a Godly marriage. Been single for 4 years and still patiently waiting.

Yeah, I agree with Soila, it's best to let the men make the first move. The Bible even says, "He who FINDS a wife, FINDS a good thing." The man has to do the finding (and by proxy, the choosing)

Love is what will drive you in your purpose. Christ having seen the end endured to the end goal. When you get the end goal of the process of marriage, love will keep you going but not love in the sense of attraction (beauty is fleeting charm is deceptive) love in the sense of long suffering, no envy, no jealousy etc. About purpose before marriage, you will know during the dating stage or that stage before you date (The sampling state that the hurds were talking about.) Ed is right about the identity aspect when you know who you are and wherever you are heading, will inform the purpose that speaks to the relationship will get into otherwise you could end up as part of the statistics of people who split later

I am glad subscribed to your channel today I have learnt a lot and written so much. when it comes to intimacy (how far is too far): 1 the Law of God 2. Don't get close to the fire and expect not to be burned Intimacy is not just about sex, it's also about deep conversations, doing something you both like, like hobbies. Asking in a relationship is very important 1. Ask if holding hands is okay 2. Ask if a kiss on the cheek or forehead is okay a relationship without boundaries is an open field that leads to a battlefield. Boundaries are very important in every relationship.

Well to be honest I believe women should not sit and wait for their destiny or life partner to be decided by a man . Im more liberal minded and so a woman can show interest in a man first. Thats called flirting or identifying your preference. However once the message has been communicated the lady needs to let the man know she prefers him to take the lead if hes interested in moving forward and ready. This gives women more choice and control over her life. She has a right to also show her interest because she has a heart and a mind too. Some men are very shy and have a hard time approaching a woman even if hes ready or interested. There is no formula. Mutual respect wins the day unless the man is conservative of course. Hey loved the discussion keep it up! 🎉

We come from the same school of thought. As a woman you ought to put yourself out and there is actually nothing wrong with showing interest.

Marriage is about purpose in the context of God's initial intention for the institution...and that is to bring forth a Godly generation/offspring through the institution... marriage is a gift from God to us... incase we need to understand it's purpose we need to understand why it was given to us in the first place..love as the fruit of the Holy Spirit is a tool used to reflect the presence of the Holy Spirit in a relationship..hence the reason why we have to choose daily to Love our partners through the help of the Holy Spirit .

Onto the question of purpose vs love, the actual purpose of marriage is Love and submission as prescribed in the Bible. Husbands should love their wives as Christ loved the church, Wives should submit to the husband. That is simply to embed Godly order in marriage. While as individual there is a purpose God has ordained for and in us, knowing your partner's purpose shouldn't be the basis for the marriage as Love is the basis for marriage and it is unconditional. Knowing your partner's purpose is a PLUS in a relationship as it will help align your conversations, vision, focus and future plans as you put down plan and work to achieve the God given purpose. But Love is the greatest of them All.

I would like to comment on the question whether a girl should ask a man out Honestly I think its a masculine thing and there needs to be balance in the relationship because once you as the lady start giving masculine energy the man will give feminine energy in return and you find yourself always doing those manly thongs in the relationship so let the men do it sis
