I've found that HIIT increases my hunger a LOT but LISS doesn't. For this reason I tend to do HIIT more on a bulk and LISS more on a cut. However, it definitely does interfere with my training sometimes. A solution I've found is to do upper body/abs based cardio on my rest days since lower body is my priority for growth. If you're mainly trying to grow upper body you might try doing mostly lower body based exercises in your HIIT circuit.

In my situation I’m have to do cardio. As a defensive end for my football team DE is the position where athleticism is more important than size, I gotta be quick of the snap and explode

even when i go into a slight bulkd about 200 -300 calorie surplus for 3 months I am still going to do my 3 days of of low intensity cardio where I walk 10-12k steps during the week daily and 15k steps on Saturday with sunday off. I wont compromise on this kind of cardio schedule its for my mental health and happiness so it will always be there. I do like to do some slower 6 mph jogging during my cardio days

hey captain , spot on again with the information and delivery 👍 I've got a question relating to caloric intake when bulking and cutting ... when bulking and cutting , is it better to lower your caloric intake on non training / rest days since you will be burning less calories compared to your training days. ... or is it better to keep the caloric intake the same even on non training / rest days ?

i feel like a beginner cause my bench never go's up. and that' because i've been training for 5 years, but in those 5 years i did 2 to 3 years of bodyweight cause i had no waits before. but still i should be able to bench more. idk i think eating a'lot just leads to fat, and like jeff cavaleri said eating big is not the way to go.

Awesome vid Mario! Quick question, is it impossible to gain lean muscle when on a calorie deficit even if I eat a high protein diet and take all the right supplements?
@MarioTomicOfficial
8 жыл бұрын
+Diego Mejia beginners can gain muscle in a caloric deficit, also those coming back from a break of training in some cases. For most intermediate and advanced lifters who have been training consistently it's hard to gain any meaningful amount of lean muscle mass

Mario,how can we more accurately determine our training age ?is it related to years in the gym or related to how much you can progress in your workouts over the course of a training phase ?I think this needs more clarification

Would it be alright to exercise twice a day while on intermittent fasting? 1 hour after each meal... I mean weights and such, not cardio, I got that covered already

Got a question I really hope you can answer. I started IF 30 days ago with an 18hr fast 6hr eat window. I am 5ft 11 and weight 490lbs. Weight is coming off and I'm feeling great but I'm struggling to reach my daily calories because whole foods are just so filling. If I was eating all my old junk/fast foods it wouldn't be a problem but I'm not going to go back. Is it ok if I can't reach my calories? I don't wanna get in starvation mode. Any suggestions?

if I bike 8k (30min) to the gym and 8k back (30min) (total: 16k(60min)) does it do the same thing as adding a 100m dash each set for 4 sets or should I skip the biking and just do the sprint?
@MarioTomicOfficial

+Max Kirby "same thing" is a very strict definition. It's not the same thing :) It's an entirely different type of activity

hi Mario good morning ☺ In terms training abs on a bulk, would you recommend to train them at the end of a weights session or to train them in the same session as your once/twice weekly of low to moderate intensity cardio ? Also , if it indeed better to train them on cardio days , is it better to train them at the start or at the end of the session ? thanks :)

Mario, is 8 miles of walking equivalent to 4 miles of running a week? please answer because I really don't like running, but I don't mind walking. Bulking at 121lbs and 5'6 feet.

Konner Brown calorie wise it's just the distance that counts.10 km walking is the same as 10 km jogging

Walking is actually better than running. Less stress on your body, its avtually more enjoy able, but more time consuming.
