The new dating show ‘My Mum, Your Dad’ launches on ITV tonight. The huge twist of the show is that children of the contestants will be watching their parents every move and playing matchmaker. TV presenter Ulkrika Jonsson has argued that single parents don’t need their kids' approval, and if her children didn’t like who she was dating it’d be ‘tough luck’. But would your kids not liking your partner be enough to put you off? Ruth admits she was scared to meet Eamonn’s children for fear of them not liking her and it dooming their relationship, and Kelly says she didn’t hold back in giving her opinion of her mum's new partners. Coleen doesn’t think your kids should have a say on who you’re with, but she can’t help but care what they think unlike Janet, who says no one’s opinion would have any effect on how she views her partner.
