ORIGINAL INFO: In brightest day, in blackest night… in average afternoon and the smoldering wreckage of a ship…
RUMINATIONS: Honestly, the only problem I had with the Green Lantern movie was how Hal found Hector Hammond so quickly in the final act, but that could literally just be “the ring told him.” I thought the acting was great, the story was basic (which is what it needed to be to introduce a character people aren’t familiar with), and while Parallax should not have been the final boss for the film, it was colorful and entertaining and certainly no worse than some of the Marvel movies, but I am apparently in the minority there. Still, it really should not have been Hal Jordan. I know the thought process was to try to emulate the success of Iron Man, but the Justice League cartoon had been on for years and John Stewart WAS the Green Lantern. I suppose they could have been worried about him sharing the same name as, well, Jon Stewart, but there you go.
Oh, yeah, I reviewed a comic, didn’t I? Uhh…. Umm… yeah, that was pretty good.
