Man, the first time I listened to this song all the way through, 7:15, 8:46, and 11:29 blew my mind. The spaciousness of the mix is definitely a stark contrast to the super vibrant layers that newer shpongle has. This is on another level. Especially considering it was made in 1998.

When this track could be found on the early internet I heard it and thought it was the most brilliant piece op psychedelica ever made. Then I lost sight of it to my big sorrow but got into the psychedelic rabbit hole to soothe me over. Then, earlier this year, I recognized the album cover on Bandcamp and listened to it again. Needless to say, I was immersed again and took no pause to purchase this illogical yet monumentus piece of music. Old love never dies. Thanx Sphongle

I always seem to be way too far gone on psychedelic wonderdust to even remember that I was a child when I listen to shpongle and I just close my eyes, crank, the music up, and let the fractal patterns eat my soul alive and when its all done, you're reborn. Terrance McKenna was right about his theory about our ape ancestors eating psychedelic mushrooms when they came down out of the trees and were sampling new foods, hence why our minds expanded the way they did when they ate the magic mushrooms

Even sober I started floating above myself and my mind-body felt it was spinning. Almost scary trippy spinning, it was euphoric and felt like chemical intervention, but was merely closed eyelids and a meditative open state in a bed. This magical album was very good to my coming of age self and first forays into consciousness altering and mind-expanding drugs.

any one wana hear something trippy??? so i took a dmt trip to this song and saw a couple of interesting visions but one of the more obscure things i saw that I didnt get was seeing two backwards R's in the mass confusion of my trip. I was curious and looked it up and found it to be Ya in Cyrillic, I read that the sound that this letter makes is THE EXACT SOUND THAT THAT SNARLING IS IN THE BACKGROUND AT THE END! DMT helps you get insight on the vibrations that were trapped in sound listening to a song on a dmt trip.

I spent that day in the desert with someone whom I had spent every waking moment of several days, nights, weeks months and years with. One month late, and one more after that, would be the last time I ever spent with her. And even though she isn't here anymore, it's okay because I'm not here either, I'm there. Both of us are, we never left that desert. We remained among the rocks and Joshua tree, one and nothing, zero and all.

It is rare to find a 20 minute song that keeps your attention for the enitre duration. With Shpogle, time doesn't exist, not in a uniform, linear fashion anyway. When you listen with a head full of a gram of DXM, time is even less inconsequential. So why am I listening to a song which I perceive to go on for hours? Bc Shpongle is that amazing. I wish I could elaborate, but I'm fuckin high!
