Hari Om!
Swami Aparajitananda discusses the importance of shrotriya and Brahmanishtha and the difference between scholar and Realised Saint. The purpose of Scriptures shown in Amritabindu Upanishad verse is also explained.
Brahmājī got Bhāgavatam from Bhagavān Himself. Bhāgavatam and Bhagavān are defined and contents of Bhāgavatam are discussed. Common content of stories of Devotees is discussed to inspire Devotion and to conclude that the only ultimate, best solution for any problem is to SURRENDER unto Lord. And that is also the way to invoke Grace of the Lord.
Question: What can be real, best Grace?
Answer: When you are able to disidentify from body, move towards Self Knowledge and cross over Devamāyā.
• Wonders of Spiritual world are mentioned.
• Brahmājī gives list (1) of famous Realised persons and list (2) of pāpa-jīvas and animals and people with disadvantage who followed footsteps of true Devotees.
• Brahmājī gives Nāradajī a task to expand Bhāgavatam in a manner which fills the hearts of seekers with Devotion and with nectar of glories. Brahmājī then glorifies Bhagavān from the bottom of his heart. Swamiji discusses how Guru-paramparā expands Knowledge.
The entire Bhāgavatam is based on questions asked by Parīkshita to Shuka Brahmarshi. Parīkshita now asks a question, viz. -
How can Consciousness and matter possibly combine?
Ans: Because of Lord's Māyā only this becomes possible.
Swamiji excellently explains or expands the answer by examples.
• One who knows the Truth: I am not BMI, I am Consciousness and revels in himself, attains True Self, becomes indifferent to world and free from I and my.
• Brahmājī's story conveys importance of helpless surrender, intuitive faith and intense tapas.
(contd.)
Next: Analysis and philosophical message of Brahmājī's story.
