Brilliant driving and a great explanation of the spark deterioration as the coil heats up. Keep working on Bob. 🙂

good vid mate, but the engine? reving to 9000, on carbs, that old school noise, with that SCCR box banging into gears, did you take it out and put an electric motor in it for the race? Couldnt hear it at all lol I love that noise!

brilliant reminds me of when I used to prep mk 1 Cortina's for brands then mk2 corntinas for rallye x 1967 to 1972 1 imp for rallying I built the first 3ltr 6 Capri for rallying, the first 2 of mk 1 escort pickups, 1 housed Roger Clark's London to Mexico remains, 4 3ltr v6 mk 2 Cortina's and a very quick mini 1298 s for myself used to pull 8500 rpm, I had 850 mini's revving at 9k, those were the days when life was fun

Great video and commentary. Thanks for showing that. I think there should be more of this class of classic racing shown live on television. it's obviously great to watch and so competitive. Gutting about the coil failure, if you could have kept that pressure on the bmw, who knows what could have happened.
