Just found your channel and really enjoy it. My Grandad had a caravan at Nether Wasdale and I spent all my school summer holidays fishing Irt, Esk, Ehen so it brings back memories. The run down to Dark Corner that I think. I kept on the caravan after he death but gave it up in my late 20s to focus on my local Ribble, Hodder and Lune iIv still friends in Gosforth Anglers, member of PA etc and always have a trip up each season. Your videos are making me think I should head up more often.

@@squaretops1 just off the bottom and trot it round. Does depend on conditions though. Had fish before where I’ve stopped the prawn and dropped it just in front of their nose. Incredible to see how they react. Sometimes they give a little quiver, move off then come back and pick it up. Had them come up and roll on it and not pick it. It’s a killer method for sure

Great little vid and smashing fish. Never heard of shrimping before. So many questions. Where do you get red dyed prawns ? Do you use and main weight to ledger the leader down, and if not then how do you cast the rig without additional weight ?
@fieldsportscumbria
Жыл бұрын
I have braid (30lb) to a swivel I attach a small amount of line to the swivel to hooks the shots (weights) then another longer line from the swivel to the pin/ treble. The trick is using the right amount of weight for the current in front of you, don’t want to be hitting them bottom but don’t want it well above there heads either. That’s the skill in the method

What should be banned ? Yes I’ve been releasing fish for 15+ years, I am all for releasing salmon. Sometimes they simply do not go back. Held that fish in the water for 15 mins waiting for it to get strong and that didn’t happen so took it to eat. ✌️
