Always looking forward to your videos, especially now that travel is restricted. Also pleasantly amused that another Evans is leading the videos. Whoever is presenting though, your videos are enjoyable to watch.

Places to visit on your trip to Japan~ Where Japanese people want to go once in a lifetime. There are the Imperial Palace during cherry blossom season (Chidorigafuchi Park), Ise Jingu, Izumo Taisha, Nikko Toshogu, and the summit of Mt. Fuji. And Kinkakuji Temple in Kyoto

Great video! The narration, music and cinematography are so well done. (Also your accent reminds me of the English train announcer, perfect for this kind of guide video haha)

I love your videos. They're quite instructive, but also a bit too condensed and short, so we don't get to have an accurate understanding of the places and activities described. I'd suggest longer videos or instead of condensing two days into one video, make two videos for one day each.

I disagree! I love the fact that I can play you on two times the speed and learn the important 80% I needed of the area in a few minutes

Interesting, didn't know Ise-jingu is being rebuilt so often! Great tour, Matt. I've also deeply enjoyed the many wide angle shots from the nature around the shrine and inside the park! Which lens did you use for that?

Thank you very much for your nice comment James! The wide lens used here was a Laowa 7.5 mm :) /Thomas

Although I've commented with a different account already, I'd love this video getting pushed upfront, gaining more traffic 😁😁 Love that you went on a hike this time, visiting more unknown locations. Fits to my channel name "Random Places", too!

Very attractive propaganda, I suppose. Beautiful area (I’ve been there). I admire the Ise-Jingu reconstruction tradition, and the passing down of skills. Can you explain why the “Esperanza” is in the form of a faux European sailing ship?
@japanguide
3 жыл бұрын
Two reasons given are a) Mie Prefecture has a "sister relation" to the Province of Valencia and b) it is said that the first Western-style ship seen in these waters resembled the Esperanza. Note that nearby is also a Spain-themed amusement park. It is said that the Shima Peninsula has several similarities to Spain, including the rias coast.

There are strong correlations between Judaism and Ise-Jingu. You may enjoy your visit even more if you do your research in advance. Thanks for a good video.
