One of the main reason of sallow sleep is OSA(Obstructive Sleep Apnea). In children, this problem manifested in the forms of ADHD, bed wetting and sleep walking. For adult, it's depression, anxiety, teeth grinding, snoring and frequent bedtime urination. I am an airway /functional/structural Orthodontist practice in California US. Increase airway structurally and for some patients mouth taping will resolve or minimize the problem. I personally mouth taping every night. I used to urinate 3 times nightly, but none with mouth taping. OSA is a complex problem and most physicians can only help with the symptoms but can't cure the disease. Patient will need a airway/structural/functional orthodontist to modify the structure and cure the problem completely.
It is all individual habit; I stay up the whole night after a nightcap between 11 p.m. to 3 a,m, and I can have a cup of coffee around 7 a.m. with my " breakfast ", then I went to bed around 10 a,m, and I got up around 3 p.m.!
