Do Shure Sm7B function as well with ROdecaster Pro 1 (the old one) (mic gain range 55 dB) or not or should I buy a Cloudlifter or similar? thanks for reply ciao Massimiliano form Italy

Thanks for asking, Max. We recommend at least 60dB of gain for the SM7B. Ideally a Cloudlifter or similar.

I really want this mic but honestly I dont like the idea of having to use a mic booster like a cloudlifter... Do you guys know a good interface preamp that powers up the SM7B by itself? one that is not over $800

GOXLR doesn’t require a preamp, GOXLR Mini works the exact same

Can I connect the SM7B to shure MVI? Is there any additional tools like cloudlifter to make it works? Thank you. I need to make a mobile podcast with sm7b and shure mvi. Thank you.

The Shure MOTIV MVi interface is a great way to connect an SM7B to a Mac, PC, iOS Device, or Android device. The MVi features 56 dB of gain with the 20 dB Boost enabled, which is generally enough for all but the quietest SM7B users. If you require more gain than that, you may need an external phantom-powered pre-amp to put between the SM7B and the MVi.

Nice video. But i think sm7b overpriced. For me its useless, because i dont have proper room, and mics like sm7b picking up noises from keyboard, mouse. Better option for streaming mics like beta 58 due to supercardiod pollar pattern, or other supercardioids mics for vocal, instruments etc.

@@kenn1n74 I see your gameplay video, its pickup noise from keyboard, my Rode Podmic less picking up noise. And i think you dont have compression of audio, when you compress audio, its starts to pickup more noise from keyboard.

@@chilinnstream3811 You don't need this microphone, it's for more complex tasks, such as recording extreme vocals, for musicians, professional studios, podcasts. Usually radio presenters have a good delivered voice and the ability to use this microphone, which provides them with amazing sound quality. All your complaints about this microphone are just your problems, you don't know how to use this microphone and how to make he sound. The other hundreds of thousands of happy owners for some reason do not complain about the little things that you gave as an example. Ideally, of course, you need to have a good preamp, compressor, deesser and limiter to feel like one with this microphone.
