3CC MotoCafe Ep 05 - SAN PABLO, LAGUNA
Hi, this is MotoMike. For the 5th episode of our 3CC Motocafe, we are going out-of-town to the City of San Pablo in Laguna - one of the oldest cities in the Philippines.
Coffee places have indeed spread around, not only in the Metro, but even populated different provinces as well.
Coffee #1 - Breakfast
For our first stop, we ate breakfast at Si Cristina Gateau Sans Rival.
Their Sans Rivals were really without rivals. We got both the Cashew and Pistachio variants (both were great, but I liked the Pistachio one better).
I also ordered their Breakfast Burrito (I’m trying to cut down on my rice intake 😅). The cappuccino was also good, especially even without sugar!
The place was well air-conditioned. CR was clean, it smelled good, and was complete with anti-bacterial soap, alcohol, and handwash. Staff was very accommodating. 👍🏼
Coffee #2 - Lunch
For lunch, we headed down to Sulyap Gallery Café immediately after our first stop.
We thought we can’t eat anymore after that filling breakfast. But upon seeing their menu, we ended up ordering Sugpo sa Ginataang Sitaw at Kalabasa, Lechon Kawali, and Grilled Boneless Bangus.
Of course, coffee followed soon after. They have a separate al fresco cafe at the ground level called Bean Tower.
I ordered their bestseller which is the Iced Caramel Macchiato. It had the right sweetness and had enough caffeine kick. And having it iced made it a perfect drink for the hot weather.
The CR was clean, it had an open ceiling that makes airflow very efficient. And the doors had an interesting locking mechanism made out of wood.
Then it rained. And it got stronger. So we stayed for a bit until it stopped to go to our next and final coffee destination.
Coffee #3 - Merienda
It was past 3pm. We were supposed to go to another coffee place, but it opens at 5pm and we don’t want to stay too late in San Pablo City. So we looked for another place to go to around the area.
So, for our third and final resto for the 3CC Moto Cafe San Pablo City Chapter, we went to Mi Café Padres. It was just less than a kilometer away from our last stop.
We were so full from our lunch, but still decided to try their Mi Café Padres Pizza Bianco. Or to put it simply, Ensaladang Pako Pizza (Fiddlehead Fern Salad Pizza - with tomatoes, red onions and salted egg). And we’re so glad we did. The pizza was so good that me and my brother finished it. It was both our first time to eat Pako Salad - and on a Pizza for that matter!
For our coffee, we both got their specialty, Hot Caramel Macchiato.
