there is something to do about black objects or clothes? i mean, if i wear or if i use a black screen, it doesn´t detect. Thanks in advance!

Hi Jorge, since these are safety devices, they have strict approval processes and the standard IEC 61496 has specific requirements for the detection of people. This standard has limits for remission etc. that these devices must fall within. A person with black clothing wouldn't be an issue up to the maximum safety distance specified by the scanner (That's why you won't get a scanner that can "safely" detect someone more than 9m away even though you get feedback from objects many tens of meters away.)

Hi Badim - please see- section 10 - Error and status indicators on the 7 segment display, in the manual. 1 means that there is an object in the protective field. You will need to connect the scanner via the CDS configuration tool and view the scan line to see where the field is infringed and, if needed, modify the protective field. Hope that helps. If you are still having problems, please contact your local SICK branch.

Garbage software. Every other brand takes me 5 minutes to setup. Two days later still screwing around trying to get one zone running. Tech support is garbage with sick.

We have a huge international network of TUV qualified Safety Engineers on hand to support all of our customers, including applications engineers, technical support, a telephone help line and an internal global technical support team for more complex questions. We have a ticket system and aim to answer customers questions as quick as possible. I am disappointed to hear you are having problems and would more than happy to facilitate a one to one introduction to the software as I believe that it is extremely user friendly. I back this up with having personal experience having worked at major competitor in safety lasers scanners before SICK. One thing I would say is that when you are connecting multiple scanners together over a safety network as well as using dynamic switching, 128 cases and EFI pro (our internal safety protocol) programing can get complex, but at this level, none of our competitors offer the same integration so it would be comparing apples with oranges.
