My doctor gives phenergan suppositories prescriptions. Keep them in the fridge and they go in nice and cold, but you can't take suppositories can you? No rectum. I have gastroparesis, took Reglan for a long time until I started lactating and running very high fevers from it. I also have Eosinophilic Esophagitis and Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis, so maybe have an Eosinophils test and biopsy will under scope. I know you've been told solutions a zillion times, so sorry, I just want to help if I can.

I have been on humira since July and I domt know if its because of humira or not but I have had some weird symptoms going on with me since starting humira. Really bad nausea and stomach pain, lightheadedness and headaches. Sometimes it's so bad it puts me in bed for a couple days. My acid reflux has gotten worse as well and I cant take prilosec I'm allergic so again I'm not sure if these things are related to humira or not but I would be interested in knowing if other people besides me have experienced similar symptoms.

@@JessicaAhearnTarot11 My Aunt had all the same symptoms you are having and her Doctor said that those symptoms were common. My Aunt took Humira for 2 years, and suffered those whole 2 years. She said it wasn't worth it being sick almost every day. Humia is a biologic drug similar to chemotherapy drugs that use monoclonal antibodies/TNF blockers. I would NEVER take Humira until everything else failed, it is a SERIOUS drug with VERY SERIOUS side effects. I think Doctors prescribe it way too quick.

Hey Maggie and Zack, you make me smile when you share your journey. I had my first Ileostomy at 16. Married at 19❤️ that newlywed stage of life. 3 months after we said our vows I was pregnant with my first son! Funny, I hardly recall my ostomy!! Two pregnancies, no problems. In fact I was super healthy, no flares or food issues! Complete remission while pregnant and nursing! I worked and raised two children, nothing hindered me! I thank Jesus for that!! I had that ostomy for 15 years. I ended up having a reversal at 31. I'm 69 now, with my 3rd ileostomy! They actually told me at 16, that Crohn's had so ravaged my body, I would not be able to bear children. I told them they were wrong. I knew I would have a son and then a daughter! And I did! Plus 2 more sons! and 11 grandchildren so far❤️❤️ Enjoy it all! What ever stress you are facing you can handle it together, you're blessed to have each other❣️God Bless you!

Thank you for sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly with us… I’m also struggling with the nausea/pain/vomiting right now and it’s honestly so helpful to watch this video and see that I’m not alone. Also, the fact that a food can be fine one day and put you in excruciating pain the next is something the people in my life just don’t understand. When I tell my boss I’m having a bad day, she tends to ask me what I ate. I appreciate that she cares, but it’s definitely not as simple as “if that food bothers you just don’t eat it!” Thank you for being so transparent about what you’re going through, and giving us a way to commiserate if we don’t have someone understanding in our lives. I hope you feel better soon!!

I have a bad gut issue. Try staying away from as much oil as possible, including avocados. Only go back so gradually. No NSAIDs for a week at least. I’m sorry about the cramps. I used to throw-up from cramps. I know Advil is the only thing that works. Maybe some carrot soup with ginger. Also, food issues are cumulative. You might get away with it once, but too often doesn’t work. I’m that way with soy and I love it so much. Easy does it. Best wishes!

Hi Maggie, I’m so sorry you are suffering. I have stomach issues though not as severe as you. I took Reglan yrs ago did very well on it and felt good. Then there was a commercial on tv that stated s/e. My then husband said I had just about all of then so Dr took me off. Now yrs later I was working for a GI office. I was a triage RN. One of the docs said Reglan is no longer distributed in the US. If they felt a pt needed it I would have to send the Rx to Canada!!! Crazy isn’t it. Before we would send the Rx the pt had to get a baseline ekg because it can cause an irregular heartbeat. I think it is the st wave. Oh and I now suffer from Gastro pareses. It really sucks as I’m diabetic and it plays havoc on my b/s and my insulin. You take good care and try to slow down for a little bit. Thinking of you Maggie💕💕

Hi Maggie, it seems you may of had the same thing my husband had a few years ago. His stomach closed up and everything that was coming out was from 2-3 days old food. His stomach finally couldn’t handle anything including water was not going through his body it just sat in the stomach. We finally went to hospital and it ended up being a week long painful time. The dr put a stent to the bottom of his stomach to keep it open so hopefully this won’t happen again. I pray you feel better soon and it’s something simple that can be fixed with no problems in the future. I have been following you for about a year and I have a Ostomy going on 3 years. It’s tough sometimes and it’s hard sometimes to keep going but you have too I will keep you in my prayers💟✝️

@@goke8456 Tell me about it. During my worst flare, I was always extremely anxious if I didn't know where the nearest bathroom was - just in case. (Which, of COURSE, made my tummy more upset...) I think people assume it's kind of like an allergy or something - that your body just will ALWAYS go "HELP I DON'T LIKE IT", and not "Mmmmm you know what? I don't like fish today. Today I only like potatoes. I know I was okay with fish yesterday, but that was yesterday and I'm a CHANGED WOMAN TODAY AND I DON'T LIKE FISH." **flips table** (or any combo of foods...)

I am so sorry you're going through such a rough time, your nausea/throwing up reminds me of when I was going through chemo for breast cancer, I was SO nauseous, and I had to go through three different anti nausea meds until I found one that helped, its called Emend, and I knew to take it like three to five hours after a chemo treatment, or otherwise I'd still be SO sick. Maggie not sure the following info will help, I’m not in the medical field but here goes. My hubby and I suffered from very bad acid reflux for years. We went for tests and were then sent to a surgeon. He told us of this surgery (he’s the expert in doing it) where they wrap 20% of your stomach around the LES valve. This is why you get acid reflux the valve is suppose to be a one way valve and now it goes in both directions. By wrapping the stomach around the valve it prevents the acid from coming out and anything else in your stomach. You will never be able to vomit it again. Of course I can’t remember the name of the procedure but it has saved my life from being very painful and taking a ton of meds that are probably not that good for you. I had to go back in the hospital because mine was too tight, but one simple procedure and I was home. My hubby had a hernia and that was taken care of too. Just looked the surgery up it’s a fund application (sp). I love you both take care.

Oh Maggie, I’m so sorry that you were so sick! I had horrible acid reflux a few weeks ago that went to my throat and was burning so bad that I couldn’t eat, drink, or sleep! I actually felt like I had strep throat. My regular doctor, who happens to be a gastroenterologist, told me to take Pepcid which did absolutely nothing for me. I ended up going to urgent care because I was getting dehydrated. I was lucky enough to see a wonderful doctor there who prescribed omeprazole for me and I feel so much better now. I’m watching what I eat but I do know myself and I know the reflux came more from stress and anxiety than it did from what I was eating. I hope we all feel better very soon!! ❤️

When I heard you mention acid reflux I wanted to share a personal experience. 2 years ago I switched to a high fat low carb diet, not strictly keto but close. Until then I had reflux bad enough to keep me from sleeping. I was taking everything and nothing helped. A month into the hflc diet my reflux just went away. Two years now and it's just gone. Also, I found by chance that laying on my left side helped when I still had it. Good luck.

I have GP, short gut, and EoE, I know how horrible the nausea can get. I rarely go a day without throwing up, and everyday I deal with dumping syndrome (who else hates that name)! My cardiologist took my Zofran because it was aggravating my heart issues to a concerning level. If I go to the hospital for procedures, ER, admissions, or to the infusion unit they will give me IV phenergan and IV Benadryl since I’m technically allergic to the phenergan. The issue is that my team can’t agree on who will write for my IV nausea meds at home. It’s gotten so ridiculous that I’ve moved to a new city for better medical care, which I’m dealing with that wait before going to a new doc. My other team still handles feeding orders and IV supplies, but I’m still in hell with my nausea and vomiting. The hardest part is trying to push through it. I’m a single mom the a little boy with special needs, I’m it, I have to literally be knocking at death’s door to get help from family. I’ll never forget my dad asking if they could just send me home with antibiotics when I had a central line infection that turned nasty very fast…I had three different bacteria and yeast running through my blood stream and he’s more worried about watching his grandson . Sry, got in a rant. I was on raglen for years before I ended up developing dystonia, and in the hospital. I hope you get to feeling better, keep resting!

I wasn't able to keep anything down & I waited 9 days & got severely dehydrated which was silly of me before being taken by ambulance. I have reflux as well & I get it. Mine gets so bad it comes up when I sleep & it gets into my lungs & I choke because it burns for hours. I'm 🙏ing you don't have a Motility Disorder my Spoonie friend. Okay, I want to preface by saying I'm not a doctor. But I do have Gastroparesis myself. And before I got my diagnosis I was prescribed Omeprazole for what we thought was GERD. If you do have Gastroparesis (which on top of all your symptoms being textbook, you vomiting up undigested food hours later sounds like Gastroparesis) definitely do not take Omeprazole!! It delays Gastric Emptying and will make your symptoms and digestion even worse. A big tip I have is to cross check any stomach type medications, especially GERD type treatments, with whether it delays Gastric Emptying (unless it's outright used to treat Gastroparesis). Delaying your Gastric Emptying even more than it already seems to be delayed is the last thing you want in your case

Have you looked into it maybe being MCAS? Know some people with it get gastrointestinal/food sensitivities .

Maggie, I have gastroparesis, but I don't have the ability to vomit due to a lack of a gag reflex. Try taking a dose of Tums or Malox, whichever antacid you prefer for instant relief, before you eat. Sometimes this helps me. You can also take your anti nausea med before eating as well. I haven't been prescribed any sort of meds for my gastroparesis yet, but I'm expecting this to change once I get moved back to the Seattle area and find a new GI. Texas dr's, for some reason, just don't like treating patients who have chronic conditions. It's like their afraid to or something. I hope your situation starts getting better, and I hope some of the tips help of you try them💜🤟

Have you considered to be tested for helicobacter pilori? Sounds really similar to what I was experiencing just right before the pandemic when I tested positive for that 🤔

Maggie so sorry you are dealing with that. If they haven't checked your pancreas recently, you can talk to your Doc. When they scope your stomach they can check it and your gallbladder if you still have. The creon 25 made a difference for me. Nausea, vomiting and gut pain stopped and now I'm absorbing my food. Let us know how it goes for you and glad you managed the storm. Stay safe

Hang in there Maggie! Nausea is the WORST! As for the acid reducer, ask about Protonix. It is an acid blocker, not a reducer. It stops the stomach from producing acid in the first place. Works great. I hope things get better for you & Zak soon. Big hugs from sunny California! 💜

Bless you, it's so horrible. That happens to me randomly, I just never know what the day will bring. My Dr has prescribed me some drinks with vitamins and minerals in, as I'm not able to eat often at the moment. Joys of having an ostomy. My ostomy doesn't like tomatoes. Thinking of you, sending you lots of love from the UK xx

I'm so sorry your poorly Maggie. I have Endometriosis, PCOS and IBS. I had to be tested for Chrohns a year or so ago as I was showing symptoms but appears to just be a combination of my gynaecology issues and gallstones! I'm very aware I'm at risk of endo in bowel complications which is why I follow you as you make chronic illness feel less lonely. Sending love from the UK xxxxx
