That's incredible to get that much speed from such a tiny motor. I'm old enough to remember the final days of when hydroplane-building was halfway common (I was a very young kid), but not old enough to have been around when they were popular and I never saw such a boat in action. It's so cool that some folks are keeping these boats and ancient motors running.

Ancient ! That’s not ancient . These engineers could learn something from engineering of that area.

Thanks for running and recording the KG7H and the 20H sounds (other video) I consider these two videos to be the most authentic at documenting the actual speed and experience with the motors and vintage hydro. May I ask what action camera you used? Audio is great!

Mike you need at least a Keller attaching kit or a mercury kit they work opposite push or pull most of the older dead man throttles had a provison for both types of kit

It says 78 A on your boat...but...please...don't put a Mark 78A on it! #bottom of the lake

Quincy had nothing to do with these motors. That’s all Mercury. One could buy a Quincy exhaust or other racing related items from them but your motor has none.
