I would happily have watched a three hour video on making a leading link suspension. Contrary to popular belief, zinc is actually very reactive and will corrode readily. You need to passivate the parts once they are plated to get any semblence of long life - assuming you are not living in an entirely arid location.

Always a pleasure to see a craftsman re-engineer and improve a project. We all learn from from new experiences to improve past projects.
