You forgot to mention…even though it’s only a SFP scope, the drops are in a digital focal plane. What this means is that let’s say you didn’t turn it to the max magnification like say 16x instead of the 18x…and you use the range finder, it will dope correctly on the 16x.

That is a nice bit of info there. Eliminates that concern of needing to be at 9x or 18x on this one.

Hi ..good explanation ..Question .. How far have you tried to shoot with that scope.?? and did you have any problems or for example the hits were ok ..here and there ..plus - minus on target. Thx . Keep going and best regards from Alberta Hunter .👍🌿🐺🦌🐻💕🌿🍁👌

I think all bdx scopes only go to 800 yards. I shot my first buck at 750 and double lunged him. I had the 3 bdx. Absolutely love this combo

I just bought one and realized it’s a second focal plane. Before i mess with it too much, does the red dot adjust as you zoom? Or does it only work at a certain magnification?

they adjust to your zoom

Thinking about putting this on a 300WM since they just released the 10k rangefinder. Had any problems? Feel like maybe I should go w/ a higher end scope for better glass, but really like this ranging feature.

The glass is very sharp for the money. I have both the 2-12x and 3-18x and they work extremely well.

@@DMHal01can you make 1000yd hits with a 3-18x? Im a noob, just hit 200 yards today for the first time 🎉

@@opossumfpv You can easily take it to 1,000y but due to the inherent design of the reticle it might cover up what you’re trying to see at that range.

@@DMHal01 I know if I hit 1000 yds, I'll want to try a mile. Even though I have the bdx 2 rangefinder, I'm thinking I'll go with a Bushnell 6x - 36x. What do you think about that one for a mile? I'm not rich so I want to 'buy once, cry once' lol

@@opossumfpv If you’ve never shot to 1,000 before I’d focus on that first. What do you have thats 1 mile capable. Unless you have a .375 Cheytac or even a .338 Lapua Mag I dont see consistent hits at that range…and I dont mean 1/20 but 20/20. At 1 mile the Coriolis effect is something you need to consider. So running a scope isn’t just drop and windage at extreme ranges. Also you will need a Charlie TARAC for more elevation.

Thanks for the video. What's the max range that it will calculate for? Also does it compensate for angled shots?
@kiwihunter2011

I've got one. It's max out to 800 yards unless you have a kestrel 5700 elite working with the kilo 2400 bdx rangefinder or the kilo 3000 bdx binos. Then it's as far as you like :-) Having the binos working together with the scope is fantastic. No need to carry an extra rangefinder. You can also dial the distance into the phone app if you have another non bdx rangefinder but this defeats the purpose of being fast. The rangefinder calculates the angle, distance etc and sends the corrected data to the scope. The only thing it doesn't do is compass bearing.

@@kiwihunter2011 I have the binos, which are great. But yeah kinda sucks that I need a third device to calculate past 800 yards.

@@davidc.9933 Thx I just looked them up. They look really great. If I didn't already have a pair of kilo 3000s and a kestrel I would buy them for sure. I use the kestrel for work as a weather station so it hits 2 birds with one stone as the saying goes. The wind is still a problem unless you are good at reading it. Kestrel does all that and more :-)

What is the minimum focus distance on this scope? I have high end air rifles and was thinking about getting one of these but need the parallax to go down to 25 yards but I can’t find that information anywhere online

The right and left reticle triangles are not "centered" indicators, they are LEVEL indicators and are called "LEVEL-PLEX" by SIG.They are far better than external bubble levels. You did not mention the WINDAGE reticle lighted dots when using a Bluetooth enabled weather meter like a Kestrel 5700. They work with the "Christmas tree" dots for exact firing solutions. PLEASE do this video over and make it complete. MUCH of the BDX information is missing.
