I agree completely! I can’t stand when some holsters absolutely destroy the finish on my pistols. I’m okay with wear over time but not from just a few draws and there is scratch mark all the way down the slide. Especially when gun finishes are not cheap to get redone

Thanks for this review....Bought this holster 2 weeks ago, replaced plastic clip with soft loops and a Tulster sidekick claw.....for what I've invested, this is perfect for my P365.....Yes, full leather is nice, but like Diesel fuel these days, priced too high. Not needing to show off a fancy leather holster, this is a tool, that's outta sight outta mind, solidly built, works well and won't break the bank.

The reason you add leather to kydex would be for the comfort to the human . Leather absorbs moisture. You have the leather part touching your gun you can have a greater chance of surface rust. The other negative I would say is that that clip the "fomi" type sux balls. It will not lock to your belt and when you draw your gun creates the situation where you also draw the holster. That is just my input.

- I agree with both points however I’ve had an LCP in a leather pocket holster for over 16 years and there still isn’t a speck of rust on it. I don’t carry it daily which probably helps and a pocket isn’t as sweaty as your waist but it’s definitely gotten wet over the years. Those clips definitely suck on that cheap holster. I wouldn’t trust it at all. I like the dcc monoblock clips

My experience with plastic FOMI clips has been 50/50. Good sturdy ones will hold on to a belt just fine (including thinner belts) whereas flimsy ones will create a scenario where you may end up drawing the holster in addition to the gun. They do sell metal FOMI clips which are a much safer bet.

Looks like a nice holster. To get the click that we all like to hear when holstering, all you need to do is take the retention screw out and flex the holster apart a bit so you can remove some leather at the front of the trigger well. Then you will hear the click.👍

Wear on the finish of your firearm is gonna happen over time no matter what and only adds to the asthetics of the look of your pistol. It shows you carry and use(practice) with your pistol. Leather wears the gun too. I blow the dust and grit out of my kydex holsters to minimize the wear anyway.

If your have this holster and want Monoblock clip you need to use the monoblock clip from Tulster, the standard Discreet Carry Monoblock screw holes are wider apart it will fit but it binds up and just doesn't grab your belt as tight. Order the Monoblock clip from Tulster it is the correct size. This is a really a good holster and great for practicing your draw without risk of scratching or wearing your slide, it's worth the price just for that but I've been carrying it and I think it's a good carry holster. It might slow your draw just a little because of the leather the way it grabs your pistol it might slow your draw a little, trade offs for everything but it's cert worth the price. I've changed all the hardware as I like Monoblock clips on all my holsters and also the button screws for the clip and tension have a ⭐ symbol which I didn't care for so I changed everything.

I have a Gun & Flower for my p365x macro with an xl grip module from Wilson Combat. So far so good (I have had it for almost two weeks). Mine isn't leather lined but I like it that way. It's super smooth on the inside and advertised not to scratch the slide.

If you’re worried about the finish on your gun getting ruined, just leave it in your safe. I’m sure it’ll stay nice and clean and pristine in there. But if you plan to actually carry it, then don’t worry about some scratches. You shouldn’t be showing off your carry gun anyways.
