I use the 1-6 for hunting, I rarely will shoot past 250 yards with 300 being my max I’m comfortable with unless it’s yotes or pigs. The 1-6 is perfect for that, and the ranging reticle has those drops that match a man’s shoulders at the distance of the drop. For coyotes I use half the width of the crosshair to range them and it hasn’t let me down yet. The drops in the reticle are accurate for 5.56 and 7.62x51, they have the same drop as far as practical accuracy is concerned, teh width of the cross hair is easily usable and unlike other ranging reticles the actual cross hair is the ranging part so you’re already on your drop for the range, the vortex is high above the main crosshair in the optic, primary arms is off to the side. Sig also includes windage markers for 5 and 10 miles per hour and also includes moving target holds for a target walking, running encumbered (like wearing full kit) and running all out (like dropping all your gear and running). The scope is very good and then when you look at the price. We sell the 1-8 sfp version for $479.99 at the shop and they sell very well. I run one on one of my comp guns with a 45 degree red dot. It’s faster for me to tilt the gun vs turning the magnification down. I’m actually considering going with a 2-12 or higher top end magnification, or possibly going with something with a starting magnification at 3 or 4, since I can use the red dot for closer in work.

I have this scope. Very good mount, robust scope, I also got it because it’s a nice reticle My downside is at 100 yards on an outside range when zeroing, it was very hard to pick up where my .556 rounds hit in daytime, had to use a lot of ammo. Other than that, it does the job.

Not gonna lie, I'm super jealous of that 1996 "spearmint green" Mercury Cougar with the gold wheels in the first scene. Who needs a Porsche when you got the Coog parked out front 🤣? Great review of the optic btw. Definitely exceeds expectations for an optic in this price range. Great option for folks unwilling (or budget constraints) to shell out $1,800+ on premium tier Japanese ED or German glass.

I hope you’ll review the ffp, usually use sfp for lower mag optics and ffp for higher magnification. The only ffp lpvo I’ve really loved is the eotech vuduu, it has the donut of death for 1x but as you increase the magnification the donut grows and eventually the donut disappears and you can see the ranging reticle. It feel like you’re flying towards the reticle until you pass through yeh donut and get closer to the center reticle. That one is done so well, and the eye box and relief are very good. I hope that the sig ffp with be very similar.

@moondogindustries have you tried this scope in ffp? That’s the one I have in my cart and I’m leaning towards that one for a “best bang for your buck optic”. I have zero experience with Lvpos and just been doing a ton of research on one to put on for my .308. My budget is in the 500 area but I found it for just over 600 on Amazon, i figure if I need to spend a bit more for a quality1-10 that’s okay. Ps thank you for this video! It’s the first one I’ve found where someone zooms into 10x on more than 200 yds outside. Highly appreciated my man.

I had to return the tango because it was a loaner. But I would look for honeycomb lens covers on Evike and other airsoft sights. They tend to have a better selection at lower prices because airsoft players put them on scopes to protect the glass from BBs.

I have the same problem with mine. Leveled my rifle in a vise, then leveled the scope from the turret cap as you would with a precision setup. With that configuration, the reticle was super canted, and the "level line" on the side is WAY outside the scope ring split. Now I am going to rotate the scope to line up the reticle with a plumb line which will ultimately make the level line even further away from the ring split. Making that line completely useless. And I have a feeling it's going to look a little wonky with how much it will be rotated to the side in order to line up the reticle. Also, by closely looking at Moondog's setup, his reticle is slightly canted as well. Moondog, I would love to get your thoughts on this as well. Great video as always.
